4 Drawing 10031 Rev 0 20-03-10 Installation Instructions The Underwater lights are designed to fit the Topline, Certikin, Astral or Aqua Pharris light niche. When installed in other manufacturers light niches an adaptor plate may be required, contact Topline on 01323-440760 for further information. Power Requirements Only qualified and competent electricians working to the 17th Edition of Electrical Regulations should install electrical equipment. The lights are powered via a transformer supplied by Topline when required. If connecting to another manufactures transformer please contact Topline for advice. Each light should have its own supply from the transformer and be suitably protected. Conductor size used should be 1mm min. The mains supply to the transformers should be fed by a fused isolator protected by a residual current device. Topline Transformer Connections There are two models of transformers supplied by Topline. A transformer that will supply 1 Topline LED unit and a transformer that will supply up to 8 Topline LED lights. See below for wiring information. To ensure clean switching of the lights a normally closed push button switch of the correct rating should be used between the RCD and transformer. 8 Way Transformer Wiring

Connections to LED Light The feed wire from the plant room to the LED light should be made in PVC wire 1mm CSA min. The light unit is supplied with a cable attached, this should be joined to the feed cable via a waterproof connector (IP68) or sealed gland unit (IP69 supplied by Topline if required). Ideally the junction from the plant room and each light should be made at pool surround level. If this is not possible then Topline can supply an underwater connector, installation instructions are detailed. This connector is also suitable for refurb installs and the instructions should be followed in full.
