Minutes of Meeting of Apex Committee on Audio-Visual clips

held at the Office of Director of Mines Safety, Bhubaneswar

Region on 19.04.2017

The first meeting of the Apex committee on Audio-Visual clips was

held at the Office of Director of Mines Safety, Bhubaneswar Region

on 19.04.2017 at 3.30PM. Following points were discussed.

1. Convenor of the Apex Committee Shri Sabyasachi Mishra

presented the audio-visual clips before the members present in the

meeting. (The list of participants attached as Annexure-1)

2. It was advised by Chairman to convey all the Mine Owners,

Agents and Managers to present or showcase the videos of safe

working procedure adopted in their mines with proper audio

messages in the audio-visual clips. Each audio-visual clip should be

of 3 to 4 minutes duration. Videos and animations downloaded from

different websites and those of mines not coming under

OMMSWCC shall not be entertained.

3. Some of the audio-visual clips sent by M/s IMFA and M/s

NALCO were not considered as they were not from their mines and

downloaded from websites.

4. The video clips of the mines sent by M/s NALCO and the

Granite mines are not accompanied with safety audio messages.

Chairman advised to convey the said mines to do the needful as

mentioned at point no.2.

5. The selected audio-visual clips will be displayed in the

website www.ommswcc.org and OMMSApp from 01.05.2017

onwards. Members are requested to visit the website for regular

updates.

mentioned at point no.2 and mail the same to the Apex Committee

before 27.04.2017 with a copy to [email protected]

8. The 2nd General Body Meeting of OMMSWCC, 2017-18 will be held

on 05.05.2017(Friday) at 11.00AM at Hotel Swosti Premium,

Bhubaneswar to discuss about the status of Audio-Visual clips of all

the mines and Half-Yearly Safety Week to be celebrated from 1st to

10th June-2017. All members are requested to attend the same.

The meeting ended at 5.30PM with thanks to the Chair.
