Arrivare alla definizione di un abaco non di prodotti ma di luce è ciò che la ricerca di Danese si è proposta nel progetto “UNA”. In esso trovano sintesi mondi progettuali diversi il cui incipit comune è lo studio della luce, nel suo rapporto con l’uomo e con lo spazio in cui essa viene messa in scena. Diverse perfomance di luce, ottenute con sorgenti led di diversa potenza (bassa e alta potenza) e colore (bianca e colorata) assicurano la risposta a diverse esigenze di luce, sia in termini spaziali che in termini di prestazioni luminose: a partire da una luce d’ambiente diffusa, adattabile alle diverse esigenze del privato e del pubblico (UNA FAMILY), si arriva ad una luce altamente performante in termini di intensità luminosa e fasci luminosi richiesti (UNA PRO) che guarda a prodotti architetturali, fino a una luce operativa sistemica (UNA SYSTEM) ma attenta all’individuo.Si genera un nuovo DNA di luce colorata, in cui a fondersi non sono i colori Red Green Blue, ma Red White Blue: è così che si pensa ad una luce per l’uomo, ma anche per la natura ed al rispetto del suo ciclo di vita.

With “UNA” project, Danese’s objective is quality light and not a set of products. Design research and testing share a subject, that is light and its important role in relation to man and space. Three different light output performances using LED based sources of different power supply (low and high power supplies) and colour (white and coloured) meet light requirements in terms of space needs and luminous performance. The performances vary from a dimmed type of ambient light suitable for private and public needs (UNA FAMILY) to a highly performing light, typical of architectural light systems, in terms of luminous intensity and required luminous flows (UNA PRO), to come to a systemic working light (UNA SYSTEM) that also takes care of the individual. A new coloured light DNA is generated: Red, White and Blue (and not Red, Green and Blue) are fused together. A light, where man and nature are both taken into account, is the ultimate objective.

Una piattaforma progettuale, che in quanto tale accoglie singoli elementi e principi che combinandosi divengono gli embrioni di un nuovo modo di pensare la luce. Essi si misurano, si mescolano e si calibrano secondo leggi precise. Si ricercano equilibri in un caos che poi diventa controllato assumendo una forma che riscatta tutto il suo tecnicismo. Non c’è l’idea del prodotto, ma della luce che si vuole ottenere.

It is a design platform of single elements and principles that become the embryos of a new way to interpret light. They are interrelated - measured, combined and mixed up - according to precise laws. From total chaos, the objective is to reach that equilibrium which is founded mostly on technical aspects. What matters is light output and not the concept of product.

Da tempo Danese ha dato inizio ad una ricerca sperimentale che ha come fulcro il concetto di “Riduzione”, che non vuole però dire riduzione di senso e di performance del prodotto.Il gesto progettuale oggi allarga i suoi confini e guarda alla sua responsabilità nei confronti di un mondo sempre più in crisi. Tale approccio si traduce nell’ottimizzazione delle componenti e nella sintesi di perfomance, l’alluminio è riciclato e riciclabile e la facilità del disassembling è assicurato. L’utilizzo di sorgenti led garantisce una riduzione dei consumi di circa l’80%, minimizzando l’impatto della fase d’uso sul ciclo di vita del prodotto e ne prolunga la durata di almeno 80.000 ore.UNA PRO è un sistema brevettato (patent Pending MI2010A000105) per illuminazione a led, costituito da una molteplicità di led ad alta potenza applicati a distanza ravvicinata su lastra piana a spessore ridotto secondo una configurazione degli stessi e dei materiali che li supportano che garantisce il raggiungimento di particolari prestazioni.Qualitynet, a seguito dell’analisi effettuata sulla lampada UNA PRO, ritieneche questa soddisfi alcuni requisiti fondamentali di ecosostenibilità, ovvero:. Conservazione dell’energia. Riduzione di emissioni (effetto serra) e inquinamento. Utilizzo di materiale riciclato. Incremento del valore nel tempo dell’edificio dove vengono introdotte.

Danese has been carrying out research and testing into “Subtraction” for quite some time. Subtraction does not mean reducing quality product or performance, though. Conversely, today’s design also implies being responsible for thoughts, actions and consequences in a world that has been undergoing a profound crisis. Such approach leads to component optimization and performance synthesis. The aluminium is recycled and recyclable and the disassembly procedures are easy. Use of LED sources guarantees very low consumption (about 80% less), minimizing the impact of the product use on its life cycle and ensures a longer product life of at least 80,000 hours. UNA PRO is a patented LED light system (Patent Pending MI2010A000105) composed of multiple power LEDs set very close on a thin flat sheet. The LED configuration and the choice of the materials allow high performances. Qualitynet, after having analyzed UNA PRO lamp, reckons that the lamp meets the green prerequisites necessary for certification:. Energy conservation. Harmful greenhouse gas emissions reduction. Use of Recycled materials. Building asset value increase

Il sistema si basa sull’attribuzione di crediti per ciascuno o dei requisiti caratterizzanti la sostenibilità dell’edificio. Dalla somma dei crediti deriva il livello di certificazione ottenuto: Base, Argento, Oro e Platino. Riguardo allo standard LEED®, Qualitynet ritiene che le caratteristiche tecniche di UNA PRO rappresentino una scelta ideale quando si voglia perseguire una certificazione. Sebbene non sia il prodotto singolo a garantire la certificazione dell’edificio, l’utilizzo di UNA PRO sarà efficace e funzionale al conseguimento del punteggio di certificazione nelle seguenti categorie:. LEED® standards are green building industry guidelines developed in the United States and applied in 40 countries all over the world. LEED® points are rewarded on a point scale and credits are weighted to reflect their potential environmental impacts in respect to a specific project. The level of certification achieved can be Base, Silver, Gold or Platinum.Concerning LEED® standards, Qualitynet testifies that UNA PRO technical features are ideal for certification. Even though, it is not a single product that can achieve the certification for the whole building, UNA PRO’s evaluation will contribute to the total amount of points necessary for certification.. Gli studi sulla dissipazione sono stati guidati dalla volontà di ridurre il più possibile la materia utile alla dispersione del calore, pur mantenendo alte le prestazioni dei led. La ricerca degli equilibri tra le diverse grandezze in gioco e l’indagine approfondita della sorgente led hanno permesso il superamento dell’invadenza formale imposto dal corpo dissipante, arrivando a definire una piastra di alluminio di soli 2/3mm di spessore come utile per dissipare potenze fino a 24W, ottenendo una diminuzione di materiale ed arrivando ad una sintesi tra dissipatore e corpo illuminante.

Firm intentions to reduce the material of heat dissipating components while maintaining the use of highly performing LEDs have driven studies on dissipation. The pursuit of a synergy between dimensions and material waste and a thorough investigation on LED based sources have resulted in an overall redefinition of shapes and dimensions. Now, an aluminium plate 2/3 mm thick is sufficient to dissipate as much as 24W, succeeding in reducing material waste and in finding a good accommodation between dissipating and illuminating bodies.

Dal punto di vista strutturale l’elemento che conferisce massima flessibilità al prodotto è lo snodo. Realizzato in pressofuso di al luminio, è stato sviluppato per essere orientabile su tre assi. Tale elemento conferisce al prodotto la massima flessibilità, espressione della possibilità di seguire le diverse le esigenze di della messa in scena della luce nello spazio.la tecnologia brevettata di Una Pro realizza una dissipazione del calore ottimale che rende possibile “toccare la luce” e quindi ruotare manualmente il corpo dell’apparecchio.

From a structural point of view, the joint is the component that gives flexibility to the product. Made of pressured die-cast aluminium, it is adjustable on three axes. The product does ensure great flexibility so new scenarios can be set up according to different light requirements.Una Pro’s optimum heat dissipation allows the user “to touch light” and therefore to rotate the body of the light fixture (Technology Patent).

INTERACTION

Una System introduce un altro innovativo elemento: un touch dimmer per gestire indipendentemente ogni singolo modulo che apre possibilità inedite nell’illuminazione degli uffici verso un nuovo rapporto con la luce che va oltre alla standardizzazione.L’individuo diventa quindi protagonista nel definire le qualità del proprio spazio ed è invitato ad acquistare consapevolezza rispetto al tema di un bilancio energetico che non sprechi le preziose risorse del pianeta. Si instaura una nuova relazione diretta con la luce che viene gestita in modo semplice e intuitivo.

Una System introduces an innovative element: a touch dimmer to regulate independent modules permitting new and revolutionary lighting options in the workplace. The individual becomes the undisputable protagonist of his environment and he is invited to become more aware of energy consumption issues in respect to the sustainable use of the Planet’s resources. Due to the set-up of a touch dimmer, the user establishes a new, direct and intuitive relationship with light.

Two aluminium arms 2mm thick, connected by two joints, support the printed circuits. Like articulations, they can reach any point in space and seem to meet functional and emotional requirements of public and private environments. Their performance of 9W of power is the same as that of other similar lamps that emit direct and indirect light. It fits an on/off dimming switch.

Due bracci di alluminio di solo 2mm di spessore, connessi da due snodi, sono il supporto per circuiti stampati a vista. Come articolazioni si orientano nello spazio e sembrano seguire le esigenze sia funzionali che emozionali di qualsiasi spazio pubblico o privato, sia domestico che del lavoro. Sviluppando 9W di potenza genera perfomance di luce pari alle altre lampade della sua stessa tipologia con emissione sia diretta che indiretta. E’ dotata di un sistema di on/off dimming.

The opinion that subtraction means reduction in terms of material and performance is brought up for discussion. Una Pro achieves the halogen spotlight performance thanks to a precise control of luminous intensity and flow openings, generating 16,5W of power. Three circuits of different intensity, lenses that can be changed over and over again and an adjustable joint make of Una Pro a product that sums up the performance of a few light systems together. Una Pro is the matrix of a wide range of architectural products, in which each component is necessary. It is not the shape that matters but the light that makes the difference.

E’ messa in discussione l’idea che la sottrazione sia riduzione in termini di materia e di prestazioni. Guardando agli spot alogeni, ne replica le performance con un controllo mirato delle intensità luminose e delle aperture dei fasci luminosi richiesti, sviluppando al massimo 16,5W di potenza. Tre circuiti di diverse potenze, l’intercambiabilità delle lenti, lo snodo orientabile, ne fanno un prodotto che in sé sintetizza le prestazioni di più apparecchi. Una Pro è la matrice di una gamma di prodotti architetturali, in cui ogni componente è necessario e si dichiara nella sua tecnicità. Questo linguaggio formale vuole essere silente rispetto a qualsiasi spazio e formalismo architettonico. Ciò che guida la scelta è solo la luce che si vuole ottenere.

RWB (red-white-blue) is a new environmentally conscious approach to coloured light while RGB (red-green-blue) limits itself to ensuring man’s psychophysical wellbeing. This archetypal change is part of an overall objective pursued by Danese on the basis of which, technological testing has led to significant achievements. An example of this is patented Una System. It entails low consumption lighting, low heat emission, plant growth, realization of spectacular environmental effects and efficient white illumination solutions. Four red, 4 blue and 4 white LEDs are mounted on Una Pro lamp. It is possible to adjust and dim every single one of them and that is why the user is enabled to monitor plant growth and set his own environmental priorities.

Una RWB è un nuovo modo di interpretare la luce colorata, non più RGB (red-geen-blue) per il benessere psicofisico dell’uomo ma RWB (red-white-blue) per una luce attenta all’uomo ma anche all’ambiente. È un cambio di paradigma che si inserisce in un più generale percorso di attenzione all’ambiente sviluppato da Danese incrociando i risultati di una ricerca tecnologica-sperimentale che ha portato al brevetto di invenzione del sistema Una: il risultato è una luce dai bassissimi consumi, che non scalda,aiuta la crescita delle piante, può creare effetti scenografici e d’atmosfera o garantire un’illuminazione bianca funzionale. La ricerca ha chiarito come la luce influenzi lo sviluppo delle piante e ha definito scientificamente i parametri necessari a favorire i processi foto-biologici. Lo sviluppo corretto della pianta si ottiene quando avvengono in modo equilibrato i due processi che compongono la fotosintesi clorofilia-na: la respirazione della pianta e la fotosintesi.

Una System, which evolves from Una Pro with all its components, offers a new approach to office lighting. Una System system’s design is based on two fundamental principles: An extended body that spreads light emission on 160X80 space modules, correspondent to a single or double work position in a face-to-face configuration, or an adjustable joint mounted on two axes that allows a 360° rotation on one axis and a 180° rotation on the other one. Una System introduces an innovative element: a touch dimmer to regulate independent modules permitting new and revolutionary lighting options in the workplace. Una Office is very flexible and thanks to a joint that allows different light configurations, the user can choose from different luminosities. This is possible during the set-up but also, at any time, by rotating the body of the lamp and inverting the relationship between direct and indirect light.

Una System è un evoluzione del sistema una pro che partendo dalle stesse componenti punta a offrire un nuovo approccio alla tipologia dei sistemi di illuminazione da ufficio. Il sistema Una System è basato su due elementi principali: Un corpo allungato per distribuire l’emissione su moduli spaziali di 160x80 cm, corrispondente ad una postazione di lavoro singola o doppia nelle configurazioni di scrivanie faccia a faccia, e uno snodo orientabile su due assi che consente una rotazione di 360° su un asse e di 180 sull’altro. Una System introduce un altro innovativo elemento: un touch dimmer per gestire indipendentemente ogni singolo modulo che apre possibilità inedite nell’illuminazione degli uffici verso un nuovo rapporto con la luce che va oltre alla standardizzazione. La flessibilità di Una System nella gestione degli scenari luminosi è data infatti anche dallo snodo che consente di distribuire nello spazio la luce secondo infinite configurazioni durante l’installazione ma anche di orientare l’emissione ruotando sé stesso il corpo della lampada e capovolgendo i rapporti tra emissione diretta e indiretta.
