The project proponent shall ensure that the construction laboursare provided with adequate amenities for lighting, drinkingwater, sanitation, etc. to ensure that they do not ruin theexisting environmental condition.

Adequate personal protective equipments shall be provided tothe construction workers to ensure their safety and the projectproponent shall ensure its usage by the labours.

All topsoil excavated during construction activities should bestored for use in horticultural/landscape development withinthe project site.

Disposal of debris including the excavated material duringconstruction phase shall not create adverse effect onneighboring communities and disposed off taking theprecautions for general safety and health aspects only at theapproved sites with the approval of the competent authority.

Use of diesel generator sets during construction phase shouldbe enclosed type and confirm to EP A Rules for air and noiseemission standards.

Vehicles hired for bringing construction material at site shouldbe in good conditions and confirm to applicable air and noiseemission standards and should be operated only during non-peak hours.

All the statutory clearances such as the CRZ clearance,approvals for storage of diesel from Chief controller ofExplosives, Fire Department, Naval Department, if applicable,shall be obtained as applicable by the project proponents fromthe competent authorities.

Environment Management Cell shall be formed duringoperation phase which will supervise and monitor theenvironment related aspects of the project including-incremental pollution loads on the ambient air quality, noiseand water quality periodically till the management of theproject remains with the project proponent.

B GENERAL CONDITIONSThe applicant shall earmark areas as well as funds forminimum of five years for a 100 hectares plantation ofMangroves. The planting could be done either on their own orjointly through a scheme with Gujarat Ecology Commission.

the unit, the unit shall be immediately put of operation andshall not be restarted until the desired efficiency has beenachieved.

The project management shall also comply with all theenvironment protection measures, risk mitigation measures andsafeguards recommended in the EIAlEMP report as well asother proposals made by them.The company shall develop rain water harvesting structures toharvest the run of water for recharge of ground water. Alsoharvesting of surface as well as rain water from the rooftops ofthe building proposed in the project shall be undertaken and thesame shall be used for the various activities of the projects toconserve fresh water.The applicant shall also comply with any additional conditionthat may be imposed by the SEAC or the SEIAA or any othercompetent authority for the purpose of the environmentalprotection and management.No further expansion or modifications in the plant shall becarried out without prior approval of the MoEF/SEIAA, as thecase may be. In case of deviations or alterations in the projectproposal from those submitted to Moef/SEIAA/SEAC forclearance, a fresh refrence shall be made to the SEIAAlSEACto assess the adequacy of conditions imposed and to addadditional environmental protection measures required, if any.The project authorities shall earmark adequate funds toimplement the conditions stipulated by SEIAA as well asGPCB along with the implementation schedule for all theconditions stipulated herein. The funds so provided shall not bediverted for any other purpose.

The applicant shall inform the public that the projects has beenaccorded environmental clearance by the SIEAA and that thecopies of the clearance letter are available with the GPCB andmay also be seen at the Website of SIEAAJSEAC/GPCB. Thisshall be advertised within seven days from the date of theclearance letter, in at least two local newspapers that are widelycirculated in the region one of which shall be in the Gujratilanguage and the other in English. A copy of each shall beforwaded to the concerned Regional Office of the Ministry.

44 It shall be mandatory for the project management to submithalf-yearly compliance report in respect of the stipulated priorenvironmental clearance terms and conditions in hard and softcopies to the regulatory authority concerned, on 1st June and 1st

December of each calendar year.

Half yearly report is beingsubmitted regularly to regulatoryauthorities concerned on 1st Juneand 1st December of eachcalendar year.
