Campus Fresh Party 2014

I. Title: The Ultimate Fresh Party

“Feel the New Vibe”

Flashing lights. Dancing mob. Loud music. Freeflowing drinks and other unnecessary behavior. This is “Party” for the present generation. The Youth, especially in the campuses, are exposed to this kind of having fun and making friends.

This year, YFC Campus Based REDEFINES this culture of partying providing a “new vibe” and an atmosphere filled with clean and wholesome party activities. The Youth will experience FUN, FRIENDSHIP, FREEDOM, and FAITH in one night of ultimate party experience with the Lord.

II. Objectives

To capture the interest of the young by providing an ambiance similar to the “party” as the present generation defines it.

To introduce a new perspective of partying by applying the 4 guiding principles of YFC – Fun, Friendship, Freedom, and Faith.

To encourage the non-YFC’s to join the Youth Camp and for freshmen to be active in Campus Based

III. Venue Look

Club with DJ Booth on site

No stage - worship leaders/speakers/performers/emcee will be at the center of the crowd

Dance floor at the center

VI. Mechanics

Soft opening – the DJ will play party songs (wholesome) while the registration is ongoing. Show YFC promotional videos. The VO will encourage the crowd to roam around and make new friends every 5mins.

Opening prayer – the team head will lead the short opening prayer at the techbooth.

National Anthem – to be played by the DJ

Dance mob – the VO/Emcee will set the mood to start the flash mob. The music min will play the “New” YFC Campus Based chant while the dance ministry teaches the steps to the crowd. Everybody should dance with the dance ministry.

Roll call – the VO/Emcee calls out the different Campuses, freshmen, and non-yfc’s while the chant is still played in background.

Emcee Spiels – the emcee will go to the center stage of the crowd to facilitate the dance battle

*Dance battle – the groups will be given 1:00 minute to dance in freestyle. Please refer to the notes for the mechanics

*Praise n’ Fashion – after the dance battle, the dance ministry will occupy the center stage to maintain the space for the rampage of models. Please refer to the notes for the mechanics

*Rap/Fliptop Battle – after the praise n’ fashion, the emcee will enter the center stage to facilitate the rap/fliptop battle. Please refer to the footnotes for the mechanics

Exhortation – the speaker will share his personal experiences on how he thought he lived a full college life doing vices and experiencing temporary happiness. The speaker will redefine happiness and convert it to pure joy which he found in Christ.

Important Notes and Guidelines:

Ambiance

- A dance club type of setup with DJ booth and Party / Laser / Neon lights and dance floor.

- Search dance club setups that fits your area.

Dance Battle

- The dance battle is open to all vocational/college/university students.

- Maximum of 8 groups are allowed to participate.

- Each group should have 5 to 7 members.

- An audition and orientation should be conducted prior the event.

- The qualified groups should be asked to prepare dance routines of any genres.

CFC Youth for Christ

- Each group should be reminded of the appropriate attire and dance steps.

- The dance battle could be any kind of dance battle.

- Optional: there could also be an individual dance battle.

- The winner is determined by the crowd

Praise n’ Fashion

- The Praise n’ fashion can be used to showcase YFC Merchandise. (Contact ABLAZE Communications)

- The theme of the Praise n’ Fashion depends on the need of the area.

- The quality of the Praise n’ Fashion should be at least higher than amateur fashion show or modeling. It is encouraged that it should be facilitated by an experienced model or organizer of fashion shows.

Rap / Fliptop Battle

- The Rap / Fliptop battle is open to all vocational/college/university students.

- Maximum of 8 rappers are allowed to participate.

- An audition and orientation should be conducted prior the event.

- Each rapper should be reminded of the appropriate attire and appropriate choice of words.

- There should not be any foul words and words against each other.

- The battle should focus on how great God is in their lives, campuses, and sectors.

- The winner is determined by the crowd.

New Campus Based Chant and Steps

- Please wait for the soft copy of the audio file and video of the steps.

CFC Youth for Christ

- Please do NOT make any versions of the New Chant and its steps.

Promotions

- It is encourage that there is a uniform poster, teaser, videos, and other publicity materials for the all fresh parties in different areas. Coordinate with Metro Manila team for the said materials.

- Please do NOT emphasize the “Club Party” when promoting to avoid misconceptions.
