Dear Parents and Students,

Welcome to Week 7!

Last week I attended the Region’s Principal Conference

at Batemans Bay. The majority of the sessions covered

were on school planning which we will utilise in

developing our new school plan which runs over the

next 3 years (2018-2020). Ulladulla Public School’s

Executive team will be enthusiastically working over the

next few weeks to ensure the plan is complete and ready

for the start of next year. The major areas of focus will

include student and staff well-being, as well as

innovative and quality teaching and learning.

Positive Environment

It is great to be able to walk around the school and see

so many positive interactions between students and

staff. I lost count of how many times students said good

morning to me today as I showed a new member of staff

around the school. Although sometimes taken for

granted, these small but positive gestures make our

school a welcoming and positive environment for all. It’s

great to know that our school is really a happy and safe

place to be.

Lachlan, Lucy, Andrew and

Emily being happy, positive

role models!

Parent Helper’s Morning Tea

Tomorrow morning (from 10.30am) we hold a special

morning tea to say thank you to all of the parents, family

members and friends who have helped at school this

year. Without your assistance, we would have to modify

many of our school activities such as sporting carnivals,

class group work and events such as market day. Your

support is always greatly appreciated!

South East Illawarra Performing Ensemble

Last Monday our students were fortunate to watch a

performance by the South East Illawarra Performing

Ensemble at Ulladulla High School. This performance

group is made up of High School students from across

the South Coast. They sing, dance and play band

instruments. Our students and staff were amazed at the

talent that was on show and the high level of

accomplishment that students from public schools can

aspire too.

2018 Departures

Families planning to leave Ulladulla Public at the end of

2017 (except families in Year 6), could you please let us

know in writing or call the office 4455 1649 so we can

update for 2018. Thank you for your cooperation with

this matter.

Have a great week!
