PREFACE Dear Parents
Summer Vacation is a welcome break full of fun and frolic, long playing hours, picnics, exploring
unseen places, spending time with family, developing new hobbies & interests and also staying
safe and preventing summer brain drain. Let's make this vacation more interesting and
meaningful.
Here's an 'Activity Treasure Box' specially designed for your children to keep them engaged and
for the better utilization of the vacation.
Tips for a happy and fruitful vacation:
Make a daily time table of your children.
Involve them in house hold chores.
Keep them away from electronic gadgets as much as you can.
Allow them play outdoor games.
Go for Nature walks with them as and when you have time.
Set aside time each day for reading.
Give your undivided attention, while they undertake any activity. Also assist them
wherever required.
Encourage your kids to communicate in English.

1. Identify ten things of different shapes at your home. Paste the pictures of those things on
A-4 sized sheets. Write their names and shapes as well.
(Example- Wall clock-Circle or Square, mirror-rectangle, etc.)
2. Make a beautiful book mark using any two or three 2-D shapes.
3. Cut the Sudoku from any newspaper and paste it on A-4 sized sheets. Now write all the
digits of the Sudoku and make at least 10 two-digit numbers from the given digits. These
two-digit numbers should be between 0-50. Now write the number names of these numbers
on the A-4 sized sheets.
