• 호주는 남반구에 있기 때문에 계절이 반대이고, 때문에 7월이면 겨울이다. 브리즈번은한겨울에도 우리나라 가을 정도의 날씨이기 때문에 비교적 옷을 가볍게 가지고 갔었지만 실제 착해 니 바람이 많이 불어서 약간 추운 감이 있었다 학회는 시내에서 약만, 실제로 도착해보니 바람이 많이 불어서 약간 추운 감이 있었다. 학회는 시내에서 약간 떨어진 UQ에서 열렸고, 도심에 숙소를 잡았기 때문에 Citycat이라는 페리를 타고 학회와 숙소를 오갔다. 학회는 2개의 학회와 6개의 워크샵이 동시에 진행 되었으나, UIC학회만 따지고 보면 규모가 작아서 학회기간 동안 한 세션이 할당되어 진행되었다회만 따지고 보면 규모가 작아서 학회기간 동안 한 세션이 할당되어 진행되었다.

• 키노트는 학회 첫날 모아서 진행되었으며, 일반적인 내용들을 포괄적으로 다뤘기 때문에 그다지 도움이 되진 않았다. 대신 첫날 발표가 있던 UIC논문들은 우리 연구실에서 해에 그다지 도움이 되진 않았다. 대신 첫날 발표가 있던 UIC논문들은 우리 연구실에서 해오던 일들과 유사하여 질문도 하며 관심 있게 들었다. 특히 유비쿼터스 미팅 룸을 설계하여 실험한 연구는 제안한 방법 자체는 새롭거나 좋아보이진 않았으나 실험 환경을 실제센서를 활용하여 설계한 것이 컨트리뷰션으로 인정받아 최우수 논문상을 수상하였다.

• 2일째 부터는 학회 세션에 참석하지 않는 발표자들이 많아서 다소 실망스러웠으며, 이번을 경험으로 다음부터는 논문 준비를 잘 하여 어렵더라도 좋은 학회에 제출하는 것이 좋겠다는 생각이 들었다겠다는 생각이 들었다.

• 출장 마지막날에는 브리즈번 남쪽의 골드코드스로 향하여 평화로운 바다를 감상하며 재충전하고 돌아왔다
