Understand the physical, emotional and psychologicalimpacts of trauma
Learn how neurobiological processes impacted by trauma relate to survivors’ emotional & behavioral responses
Identify when trauma responses arise + develop tools andresources to restore calm when overwhelmed or triggered
Reduce stigma, shame and blame around trauma andassociated responses
Increase competency, compassion and empathy whenfacing challenging behavior, reactions and traumaresponse in self and others
Adopt a trauma-informed lens as a beloved communitymember and global citizen
Consider the impacts of trauma on marginalizedcommunity members
Facilitated with an anti-oppression, restorative justicelens, highlighting the connection between trauma,marginalized communities and systems of oppression.Content will focus on restoring wholeness within ourinternal system and within beloved community.

Create a meaningful & sustainable personal self-care plan
Develop self-supporting healthful boundaries that promotepleasure, play and rest
Experience meditation, trauma-sensitive accessiblemovement, journaling & practices for overall wellbeing
Experiential learning will include lecture, small groupdiscussion, body-based relaxation techniques andresilience-building activities aimed at cultivating ahealthier, more kindhearted relationship with self aswell as tend to the impact on those who bear witnessto others’ stress and trauma.
