Getting Prepared for UC Campuses:
Complete 60 transferrable units by the end of Spring term for Fall admission, and by the end of summer term for winter or spring admission that must include:
Written Communication Critical Thinking /Second year of English A UC Transferrable Math Course Pre-requisite courses for your major (see Assist.org and plan the
courses with a counselor) General Education: 7 course GE Pattern or
Completing Intersegmental General Education Transfer Curriculum (IGETC) - IGETC is not required for admission, but some UC campuses and programs require completion of 37 units of IGETC .
Note: It is recommended not to complete IGETC for the high unit majors such as Engineering . There is also IGETC for STEM programs that only applies to Biology and Chemistry programs. Earn Minimum GPA in Transferrable courses:
Minimum GPA of 2.4 Minimum of 2.8 for non-residents
Note: the GPA requirements depends on the average GPA of applicants ’ pool of that year. The average GPA of admitted students varies but it usual-ly between 3.0 to 3.5.
The Transfer Admission Guarantee allows students to sign a contract with 6 participating universities to ensure their admission.

Submit your TAG between September 1 - 30
To be eligible for TAG, students must:
Have successfully completed a minimum of 30 transferable units GPA requirements varies between 2.7 - 3.4
Meet the university’s admission requirements for specific programs. Requirements varies for each campus and each program.
Note: Students must meet with Transfer Counselor to dis-cuss the transfer option during the first year of attendance.

Start your admission application early to submit it to UC during the
application period: November 1st to 30th
Be on time - file your application before the deadline:
November 30th at 11:59p.m.

Selective major = programs that require additional/specific admission requirements. Elective courses = any transferrable course beyond the major and GE requirements that are transferrable to UC Transfer Admission Planner (TAP) is a tool to use to complete TAG and UC general application. The planner helps students track their progress toward meeting UC's minimum requirements, and allows UC staff to communicate important information to prospective transfer students. UC transfer Pathway offers a single set of courses you can take that will transfer to any of UC’s nine undergraduate campuses.
Pathway+ better prepares your for admission. This is where you follow the UC pathway and UC TAG requirements, (note that only 6 campuses offer TAG).
