UC Davis Renal Pathology Service Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine The Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine is pleased to announce that we now offer renal pathology diagnostic service. We are pleased to introduce Associate Professor of Clinical Pathology, Kuang-Yu Jen, MD, PhD, as our new Director of Renal Pathology. Dr. Jen earned his medical degree from the University of Pennsylvania, where he also received his PhD in molecular biology. He trained at UC San Francisco, where he served as Chief Resident and completed fellowships in renal pathology, transplant & liver pathology, and surgical pathology. He joined the UC San Francisco faculty in 2012, where he also served as the Associate Residency Program Director before joining UC Davis as its Director of Renal Pathology earlier this year. Dr. Jen has published more than 50 peer-reviewed articles and abstracts and several book chapters on renal pathology. He also is active in research and teaching, having obtained several research grants and received multiple teaching awards.
