Lt. Nate Willis II MPA, MPH RESEARCH OVERVIEW Lt. Willis is currently a U.S. Air Force Health Professions Scholar at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences at the Fay W. Boozman College of Public Health pursuing a Doctor of Public Health (DrPH) degree. He is also a research assistant focusing on community health projects within the College of Nursing. His research interests are environmental health, health policy, health leadership, and community health. Lt. Willis is from Conway, Arkansas. He attended the University of Dayton for his Bachelor of Science in 2007. He later attended American Public University Systems to obtain his Masters in Public Administration in 2010, which focused on Health Policy. He received his Masters of Public Health with a focus in Environmental Health Science in 2011. Lt. Willis has several public health research and practice experiences. He has participated in hazardous material research along the I-65 corridor in Warren County Kentucky; facilitated community health practice efforts in the Bowling Green, Kentucky area with at-risk adolescents; and conducted indoor air quality and hazard assessment research for private firms in Kentucky. He has consulted for alcohol, tobacco, and drug intervention strategies (ATOD) for at-risk youth in West Palm Beach, Florida. He has also worked with the Arkansas Department of Health and the Clinton Foundation analyzing residential indoor air quality in the Central Arkansas area. Current DrPH student and research

Lt. Willis is currently a U.S. Air Force Health Professions Scholar at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences at the Fay W. Currently as a 2nd year DrPH student, Nate is focused on researching the potential impact of an enforceable warranty of habitability pertaining renters residing in residential housing in the state of Arkansas. In addition to working on research concerning the warranty of habitability in the state of Arkansas, Lt. Willis is currently assisting in community health research in Northeastern Arkansas. His community health research focus extends to implications of health improvement regarding mental health among minority populations.
