This guide describes how to install the Integration Pack (iPack) for iBaan Sourcing on top of the iBaan E-Enterprise applications.

This guide is intended for Technical Consultants and System Administrators. You must be familiar with the system administration of Microsoft Windows 2000 Server systems.

This guide contains the following chapters:

Chapter 1, “Introduction,” gives an overview of the installation process. It also describes the necessary preparations that must be carried out before you can perform the actual installation.

Chapter 2, “To install the iPack,” describes how to install the Integration Pack.

Chapter 3, “To uninstall the iPack,” describes how to uninstall the application safely.

Chapter 4, “Troubleshooting,” describes how to troubleshoot a problem during the installation process.

The iBaan Integration Pack 1.0 for ERP 5.0c – Sourcing 1.0 runs with iBaan Sourcing 1.0. The Integration Pack takes care of the communication between iBaan Sourcing and the ERP 5.0c back end.

Overview The installation process can be divided into the following phases:

Preconfiguration. Installation. Postconfiguration.

Preconfiguration Before you install the iPack for iBaan Sourcing, make sure that the iBaan Sourcing 1.0 application and iBaan E-Enterprise server Integration pack for ERP 5.0c is correctly installed.

For related preconditions, refer to the Installation guide of the iBaan Sourcing 1.0 and Installation Guide of iBaan E-Enterprise server Integration pack for ERP 5.0c

Installation The installation of the iBaan Sourcing iPack consists of the following steps:

iPack Web contents. iPack database contents. PMC-solutions (iBOW Server-side BOIs).

Only the following steps can be executed by the iPack installation program:

The installation of the remaining components is described as follows:

To install PMC solutions This part is not complete once the PMC solution is ready we will update this document.

To install the PMC solutions on the iBaan ERP5.0c server, carry out the following steps:

1 Place the delivered update dump in a directory, for example, the tmp directory.

You can remove the dumps after the initial import has been completed, as they will be copied to the directory that is specified in the Parameters (ttpmc0100s000) session.

2 Start the Scan Solution/Patch File (ttpmc2200s000) session.

To run this session, you must have a default text group for company 000 defined in the Default Text Groups Template (ttams1121m000) session.

3 Select the applicable update VRC.

4 Enter the name of the solution file that you can find on the installation CD in the Solution File field (159015stnd).

5 Select the Print checkbox to create a post-update report.

6 If the Scan Solution/Patch File (ttpmc2200s000) session has run successfully, the file format is OK and the file is copied to the Installation directory.

7 Start the Process Solutions (ttpmc2101m000) session.

8 Find the applicable update VRC and select the solution that you want to import (159015).

9 Select the Check to Install option from the Special menu. The following figure is displayed.

To find out what components are within the dump, in the process Solutions (ttpmc2101m000) session, on the specific menu, choose Components. To find out the Dependencies, on the Specific menu, choose Dependencies.

10 After the check, the solution gets the To Install status as displayed in the following figure.

11 In the Process Solutions (ttpms2101m000) session, reselect solution 159015 and on the Specific menu, choose Install. The following screen appears. Make sure that Device for Error Report field is ASCIT and that the Output File field contains a file name. Click Install to continue.

12 If the solution is installed successfully, the solution gets the Installed status.

After completion of the 159015 PMC installation, follow the same steps 1 to 13 for installation of 159014 and 159062 also.

Postconfiguration By default, the iPack is only delivered with English labels for the Self-Service Lookups. Other languages are shipped in Language Packs for the iPack. Consequently, check whether the iBaan Sourcing iPack Language Pack for the language you want to obtain is available.

Prior to installing the iPack, make sure all software mentioned in the Introduction Preconfiguration section is installed and checked.

The next step is to perform the actual iPack installation.

There are several installation options for the iPack installation. The options are as follows:

iBaan Sourcing iPack Web contents. iBaan Sourcing iPack database contents.

You can install all the options from the iBaan E-Enterprise Web server. When you have multiple Web servers, you must install all the options on one Web server. On all other Web servers, you must only install the iBaan Sourcing iPack Web contents option.

To install the iPack, complete the following steps:

1 Determine on which machine the iBaan Sourcing Web server software is running.

2 Log on as a user with administrator rights and insert the iPack CD-ROM in its device.

3 When the CD-ROM is inserted, the installation wizard starts automatically. If this is not the case, click the setup.exe file on the CD-ROM. The Welcome screen appears.



4 Click Next to continue; the Setup Types dialog box appears.

5 Select the Custom option to choose which installation options (Web contents, database contents, data synchronization packages) you want to install. Click Typical or Compact if you want to install all the options.

If you must install your databases on a Microsoft SQL2000 instance, you must have the MS SQL Server 2000 or the MS SQL 2000 Client locally installed on the Web server. In this case, you can also choose to install the database contents and data synchronization packages options directly on your iBaan E-Enterprise Server database server.

6 Click Next to continue; the Select Components dialog box appears.



7 Select the components you want to install (Custom only), as shown in the previous screenshot and click Next. The Select Database Server dialog box appears.

8 Enter the name of the machine on which your iBaan E-Enterprise Server databases are located. In the User Name field, type sa and enter the password of the user in the Password field. If you do not want to use the sa account, enter another SQL account that has system administrator’s rights.

Click Next to continue; the Enter E-Enterprise Database User Account dialog box appears.



9 If you are not installing from an iBaan Sourcing Web server, you must select the databases that are used by the iBaan Sourcing installation for which you want to install the iPack. If you are installing from an iBaan Sourcing Web server, you must enter the user name and password of the database account that is used by the iBaan E-Enterprise Server to connect to the iBaan Sourcing databases. Click Next to continue; the Start Copying Files dialog box appears.



10 The setup program is now able to install all the selected options. Click Next to continue.

11 Click Finish to end the setup program.




To uninstall iBaan E-Enterprise Server iPack, on the Start menu, point to Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs. After selecting iBaan E-Enterprise Server iPack, the installation program will start and you will see a screen with the Modify and Remove options. If you click Modify and, for example, select one component, only that particular component will be removed. If you click Remove, all currently installed components will be removed.

Log files During the installation of the iPack, log files are created. These log files can be found in the following directory; c:\Program Files\Baan\iBaan E-Enterprise Server\Setup files\SQL Scripts\Data\EDashboard.

With a successful installation of the iPack, the log files are empty.

Installed components During the installation of the iPack, components are installed on the following servers:

Database Server. Web Server.

The following paragraphs give more information about the installed components.

On the database server The Dashboard database is filled with the appropriate data.

On the web server

The following components are installed on the web server:

The Com dll’s B50cESOtcibdItemDetails.dll, B50cESOtdpurPurchaseContracts.dll and etc.., are installed in directory; c:\Program Files\Baan\iBaan E-Enterprise Server\Components\E-Server.
