What is thriller?Thriller films are often revolved around mysterious

storylines, which use suspense, tension, and excitement in

its main elements. There are many emotions in which theaudience feel whilst watching a thriller film, such as

-Fear

- Nerve

-Excitement

-Sadness

Thriller films usually use cliff hangers, to stimulate theaudiences mood, such as high levels of suspense, anxiety,

panic and terror. Also, engages the audience, by then

asking themselves... what happens next?

Different types of thriller films Horror thriller For example, the shining directed by Stanley Kubrick. A family heads to an isolated hotel for

the winter where an evil and spiritual presence influences the father into violence, while his psychic son sees

Props such as masks, are usually used in thrillerfilms to hide the identity of the villain. Forexample, the movie SCREAM uses this prop, to notonly create mystery for the audience, but to alsoscare them a little.

Props such as knives and guns are also one of themain conventions that are used in thriller films,as it connotes death. Everybody knows thatknives can kill or seriously hurt someone,therefore when a person is watching a film and

sees knives, they know something bad is going tohappen.

Blood is also another prop usedin thriller films, it connotesdanger, and death.

The cross that represents JesusChrist is also used in somethriller films. This is because

some thriller films link theirnarrative to religion.ropes are also used a lot inthriller films. When thevillain captures his victim,they usually tie him/her upso ensure that they dontget away.
