Road transport

Road transport Tychy is located 20 km from Katowice, on an intersection of important thoroughfares connecting Warsaw with Vienna and Krakow with Wroclaw. National and international ro-ads form the city’s ring roads with numerous exits making it possible to reach the centre and the industrial zones. Co-nvenient access to the city is ensured by the following: S1 express road (Dabrowa Gornicza – Tychy section), national road no. 1 (Bielsko-Biala - Tychy section), national road no. 44 (Gliwice - Tychy - Oswiecim - Krakow section), national road no. 86 (Katowice - Tychy section), International Euro-pean Route no. 75 (from Crete to Scandinavia) and Inter-national European Route no. 476 (connecting the Czech Republic with Krakow).

Air transportTychy is located 58 km from the Katowice airport in Py-rzowice and 65 km from the Krakow airport in Balice. The airport in Pyrzowice offers regular scheduled flights to and from over twenty airports in Poland and in the rest of Eu-

rope, including Frankfurt, London, Milan, Paris, Stockholm, Rome, Warsaw and Athens. There is also a cargo terminal, ensuring logistics services for many companies in the re-gion.

Rail transport The railway connecting Tychy with main Polish and inter-national routes is an important axis for the city’s develop-ment. A broad-gauge railway adapted to Asian standards also runs not far from the city, in Slawkow. The railway con-nects Upper Silesia with Lviv, with the Russian railway and further on with Far Eastern trade routes.

River transportTychy is located near the river port in Gliwice. From there, one can reach the Szczecin-Swinoujscie port complex, with access to the Baltic Sea, and also many Western European ports through inland navigation waterways in Germany on the Elbe and Rhine.

A city with style and an atmosphere

Tychy is a city where much attention is dedicated to high quality urban planning and architectural solutions. The most interesting public spaces in Tychy include Baczynski Square, the most atmospheric part of the city. This is a favo-urite place where inhabitants meet and walk.

The Square is adorned by a unique dandelion-shaped fo-untain, lit at night. It is worth mentioning that web users voted the Square, where many events are held, the Best Public Space in the Silesian Voivodeship in 2010.

be found anywhere else but here! I am absolutely certain that I wouldn’t have built a company like this anywhere else in Po-land, since I wouldn’t have been able to find such honest and committed employees. These people are worth every money.
