1. Setup

You Guest Login is 1 (user name) and 1 (password). TW3D to work correctly needs to access some information on your local machine, you need to allow him to do so by changing some security levels in your browser configuration as it follows.

Select “Internet options” from “Tools” menu

then make sure that INTERNET is selected as contest zone and press “Custom level”.

select the “prompt” option in the section “Initialize and Script ActiveX control not marked as safe” this allows the user to give the application permission at run time to access some local information, the user will be prompted a question as in the below screen shot:

From this moment on you have to accept this request to use all the functionality of the system.

Now you are inside the GUI panel of TW3D and you are ready to do 3D query and to get real time statistics.

2. Product query

The upper left part of the panel allows the user to select a particular product using some criteria as the category or the class of the product etc. Pressing the down arrow you can query the DB and populate the list with the products that matches the above criteria. Select then 3 product by double clicking on the list, then you will see them appear in the Red, Green and Blue boxes. To actualize the query press on the yellow left arrow beside the boxes. You will the see an external view of the warehouse, the yellow blinking arrows shows in which part you can find the product selected. To enter inside the warehouse just click on the part you want to visit.

You can move with you keyboard arrows or with the mouse. The not selected product appaear trnasparent colored.

To remove all the structures from the 3D view use the “query prodotti” tool box on the left as explained in the left column of your browser. If you want some detail about the product stored in some warehouse space just click on it, and then click on yes at the prompted question.

By clicking on the buttons you will enter some category statistics and other information regarding the position of this kind of product inside the warehouse.

3. Saturation Analysis

Clicking on the Saturation Analysis arrow you will have a particular view that displays the quantity of product stored in each space with a quantization of the 20%. If you see some red blocks it means that a part of the product is currently under picking.

Pressing on the stat button you can enter the statistical analysis about saturation. On the bottom part you will find information about the space you can actually recover from your warehouse by collecting products of the same type in the same position. By pressing the 3D button you will actually see in the 3D world where are this products.

Here you can easily see that you can recover 2 space by putting the product in row A and C inside the sapce in row F.

4. ABC analysis

It allows to see in an immediate an visual way the coherence between the ABC class of the products and the ABC of the spaces. Class A is represented in Green while B is yellow and the below classes are red.

There you can have some statistics about the efficiency of the distribution of the products inside the warehouse

5. Slow moving analysis

This analysis allows to understand when each product has been recently moved. In fact you will se coloured the product according to the date of the last move according to the criteria set on the left part of the screen. The buttons on the left allows to view only the products or the spaces of a particular class.

This are the statistics splited by product and by space class.
