The Criminal AFIS (Automated Fingerprint Identification System) Solution is geared for law enforcement bodies as an essential instrument to combat crimes, drug dealing, illegal migration and terrorism.

The Civil ABIS (Automated Biometric Identification System) Solution provides a decisive contribution to fraud prevention. Each person is identified with his unique fingerprints which eliminates multiple enrollments and/or duplicate registration.

NIP’s Solution has the ability to perform a conversion process of the existing ten-prints, palm prints and latent cards. The card conversion Solution includes fingerprint matching capability for duplicate checking of ten-print cards, palm prints and for unsolved latent print and registration to their databases accordingly. The converted databases will serve as the initial AFIS/ABIS databases for daily operational matching purposes.

Handheld devices can be issued to police patrol vehicles for roadblocks and any other check points that may be required. These handheld devices operate on GSM network and can be pre-loaded with the most wanted criminal fingerprints.

When a suspect is apprehended, his/her fingerprints will be checked against the stored fingerprints database. If no match is found the fingerprints data is sent via GSM to the Central Site, where a search is made against the Central criminal database and the result is returned back to the police patrol car.

NIP provides full training of the law enforcement staff on the supplied hardware, the AFIS/ABIS software, the third party software and the data conversion process. For these purposes, a training venue will be established at the customer’s premises for all the authorized staff levels.In addition, a complete set of application user manuals will be provided in both hard and soft copies.
