ADMISSION REQUIREMENTSTo be eligible for the online Master of Accounting program, you must meet the following qualifications:
▪ Bachelor’s degree in accounting from an institution accredited by AACSB International within the five-year period immediately preceding the desired term of enrollment
OR
▪ Completion of the bridge program, maintaining a B average throughout (for applicants who do not have an undergraduate accounting degree)
▪ GMAT score of 480 within the five-year period immediately preceding the desired term of enrollment (Institution Code = 1CB5S61); waived for UAB Accounting bachelor’s degree graduates and those completing the UAB Accounting bridge program
You must also provide:
▪ Official transcripts from all colleges attended ▪ Copy of resume or curriculum vitae ▪ Completed online application and application fee of $70 for domestic
applicants and $85 for international applicants ▪ Application fee of $30 for those enrolling in the bridge program
International Applicants
International applicants whose native language isn’t English are required to show proof of English proficiency by submitting a TOEFL, IELTS, or PTE Academic Test score. Official test scores are required and should be sent directly from the testing agency to UAB. Scores should not be more than two years old.
The minimum score requirements are as follows:
▪ TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) score of 550 on the paper-based examination, 213 on the computer-based version, or 80 on the internet-based version
▪ IELTS (International English Language Testing Service) score of 6.5 overall with at least a 5.0 on each section of the examination

ONLINE MASTER OF ACCOUNTING CURRICULUM
The online Master of Accounting program delivers a streamlined curriculum and a high-quality, practice-oriented educational experience. A total of 30 credit hours can be completed in as few as 1.5 years. If you have an undergraduate degree but it is not in accounting, UAB also offers a 24-credit-hour bridge program that provides prerequisite coursework prior to starting the Master of Accounting program.
