Withtheincreasingpopularityofthe3Gstandardworldwide,theTelstraTurbo7WirelessGatewaywithVoiceprovidesyouwithtriple-bandcoveragethroughexpandingcellularnetworksthroughouttheworld.

Byfollowingthesimplestep-by-stepinstructionsfoundontheConnectionManagerUSBkey,youcanshareyourconnectionwithmultiplewirelessandwireddevicesusingtheNextG™network.

The Gateway also provides state-of-the-art security features such as Wi-fi Protected Access (WPA) dataencryption,FirewallandVirtualPrivateNetworks(VPN)passthrough.

3 .2 TCP/ IP SeTTINGSItislikelythatyourcomputerwillautomaticallyobtainanIPAddressandjointhenetwork.ThisisbecausetheDynamicHostConfigurationProtocol(DHCP)server(onthedevice)willstartautomaticallywhenyourGatewaypowersup.

ThisautomaticassignmentrequiresthatDHCPisconfiguredonyourcomputers.Itislikelythatthisisalreadythecase,butshouldyouberequiredtoconfigurethis,pleaseseetheinstructionsbelow.

WINDOWSXPDHCP Mode

To set your Pc for DHcP mode, check the Internet Protocol properties of your Local Area Connection.YoucansetyourPCtoDHCPmodebyselectingObtainanIPaddressautomaticallyinthedialogboxshownbelow.

STATIC IP Mode

3.4 WeBUSeR INTeRFACeHOMePAGeThe web user interface (WUI) is divided into two window panels, the main menu (on the top) and thedisplayscreen(onthebottom).Themainmenuhasthefollowingoptions:Basic,NextG™Settings,Wireless,Management,AdvancedandStatus.

Selectingoneoftheseoptionswillopenasubmenuwithmoreoptions.Basicisdiscussedbelowwhilesubsequentchaptersintroducetheothermainmenuselections.

NOTe: Themenuoptionsavailablewithinthewebuserinterfacearebaseduponthedeviceconfigurationanduserprivileges(i.e.localorremote).

BASIC / HOME
