Tuflex® Spartus Multipurpose Sports Flooring tiles, developed for sports and commercial applications, have been proven in the industry since 1957. Tuflex® Spartus tiles are manufactured using a simultaneous vulcanization process and a new, industry-leading Red List chemical free formulation that is FREE of tire-derived crumb rubber – the first in the industry! Using manufacturing waste from our own RLCF rubber tile and tread products ensures that we know what the formulation consists of and the improved benefits it will provide.

Tuflex® Spartus meets the following ASTM test methods:

ASTM E90 – Standard Test Method for Airborne Sound Transmission Loss of Building Partitions and Elements

ASTM E492 – Standard Test Method for Impact Sound Transmission Through Floor-Ceiling Assemblies

ASTM E2179 – Standard Test Method for Effectiveness of Floor Coverings in Reducing Impact Sound Transmission Through Concrete Floors

ASTM F1515 – A standard practice for measuring light stability of resilient flooring by color change. This method is intended to quantify the amount of color change in flooring products when subjected to accelerated aging to light for a specific amount of time.

ASTM G21 – Anti-fungal test.

ASTM E648 – Requires >0.45 W/cm2. In the Flooring Radiant Panel Test, a Class I rating implies a more flame-resistant system than a Class II rating. Sometimes resilient floor coverings are required to have a Class I rating in corridors of hospitals, nursing homes, day-care centers and other institutional-type occupancies. Class I is also a minimum requirement in building codes of some states.

ASTM F2772 – Measures 4 key factors: Shock Absorption, Vertical Deformation, Ball Rebound, and Surface Finish/Friction tests. This means that Tuflex® Spartus provides the optimal balance of safety and playability for Indoor Sports Flooring.
