~ gtb November is long gone but not forgotten Our trip to Bisbee was inshy

terestingBarry Cunningham led the caravan of three Corvairs and two

water pumpers Barry led the way to a nice restaurant the food was

good and plentiful Barrys friend took us to the old school (1905)

whe r e we had the opportunity to visit an artists studio where there

were some finished paintings as well as other projects on which she

was working Fine landscapes Bisbees old buildings are very

interesting

Barry Cunningham has very generously invited TCA to use his garage for

a Tech Session in January Details and a map can be found elsewhere

in this pUblication

At the last Board Meeting it was decided we should buy a copier now

that there is sufficient monies available We will see if Van Pershing

can assist us with negotiations Some time in January or February

February 1993 meeting is the scheduled time for election of a llew

President Vice-President and Director-at-Large According to TCA

By-Laws these people canllot succeed the mselves i those offices

SO someone is going to have to take over March I 1993

Our Christmas Party was well attended - 27 people including our

Vice Presidents Colurnn Last mo I wrote about going to Ks in our 65 Ragtop and we was going to have l o ts of fun Well we did about 15 miles out of Vaughn NM Lynn was at tile whrmiddotel aIlLI as she pulled over she said I smell something burninp well come tp r ine out the vel twas still doint its job but the al t was no t turni F- I )s(gt1 I the belt wd the bre we headed torward t own at 25 MPH hearing all Iinris of nOlses Luclly the alt is st ill chargerung As we came into town til first bull ing on our right was Norberts iuto Parts just knowing they wouldnt Iav e whaL needed in we go fhe mechanic told us no way would he hav e anythinp thFl L gtloulmiddot1 fit one of thosr~ things But he might have some bqs th8t would orl This ~s at 430 prll an d at 630 we was ready to go it was away past closeing tiIII8 Just knowing it was poinp to be big bucks I asked how much I all t teJ 1 Y( hew much we pai d bu t he could have charged more and 1 still w()uld have gtel1 II 11 He as very polite and treated us well If you Rre ever in Lhe area p] e8se stp bJ and say Hi On our way aeai n into the Olka pan handle I remembered about th damper doors 8S things where getting a little cool inside and only one he8tel duct hooled up did nt need them in the desert so with some steel woo] rem Ace hardware we had damper doors not to bad now 65f inSide 18f out side luckly we had a sleeping bag Into kansai the snow is deep the roals are slick but we where tlJe first off the line every time everybody elses tires slt1e8Inill[ front wheel drives blowing SIIOW and as they slid o f the road into di t e lls J l d my Wife rain or snow sleet or ice our COIlVAIIl will take u s wll(He we walt togo One thing for sure I will have a survival auto parts kit on our next Ill
