West Michigan Environmental Action Council & Rapid Growth Present:
Triple Top Line Awards
Call for
Triple
Top
Line
Nominations
For over forty years, WMEAC has served as a contributor and catalyst for creative responses to environmental
needs. As a result, West Michigan is a community rich in natural resources, innovation for the environment and
quality of life.
In honor of this work, we are calling for WMEAC’s community partners to nominate projects, programs and concepts
emerging from the West Michigan Community that have or will soon contribute to the region’s rich tapestry of
sustainable progress.
Three award winners will be chosen by a committee of our region’s leaders in sustainability through an on‐line
process. Awards
will
be
given
in
the
following
categories:
‐ Sustainable Business Leadership
‐ Community‐Based Achievements Toward Sustainability
‐ Governments Implementing Sustainable Change
Three finalists in each category will be highlighted on Rapid Growth Media. Finalists will receive:
‐ Three reduced rate tickets to WMEAC’s Eco Expo and Concert featuring the Fiery Furnaces on April 16,
2010 at Fountain Street Church.
Award winners will receive:
‐ An original piece of art work acknowledging the organization’s contribution to sustainability.
‐ Will be highlighted in a Rapid Growth article featuring Triple Top Line award winners.
‐ Will be the focus of a press release to the media highlighting the top three finalists.
‐ Will be
recognized
and
receive
their
awards
at
WMEAC’s
April
16,
2010
event.
Winning proposals will clearly demonstrate a significant, positive impact on West Michigan’s Triple Top Line ‐
Environment, Economy and Social Equity. Eligible work will have begun after January 2008 and will be completed
before January 2011. Examples projects include:
‐ Design Concepts
‐ Building Projects
‐ Non Profit Programs, Initiatives or Campaigns
‐ Corporate or Governmental Programs or Initiatives
‐ School and/or Faith Based programs or projects.
WMEAC invites project submissions through Thursday, April 1, 2010. Enclosed is a form to help shape your
submission –
electronic
forms
are
available
on
WMEAC’s
website,
www.wmeac.org.

The top three finalists in each category will be posted on Rapid Growth Media on Thursday, April 8, 2010. Members
of the public will be able to vote for their favorite projects via Rapid Growth Media’s website. Winners will be
notified announced on Friday, April 16, 2010.
