‘When life takes you all the way to the ragged edge of reality, ‘be still, and know that I am God.’ Psalm 46:10

Trusting God in Times of Crisis
Cease striving not because we know how it’s going to work out, but because we know the God who will work it out
Knowing God is better than knowing the outcomes
Relax because you can know that I am God.’

‘God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.’ Psalm 46:1
God is our refuge and gives us the strength of grace
God is a very present helper to us
What can we know about God and hang onto no matter what?
‘The Lord of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our stronghold.’ Psalm 46:7,11
God doesn’t leave us when life goes in the ditch
God’s reputation rides on our problems
What can we know about God and hang onto no matter what?
‘I will be exalted among the nations. I will be exalted in the earth.’ Psalm 46:10
God will bring the problem to resolution in a way that glorifies His name and brings good to us
What can we know about God and hang onto no matter what?
Faithful obedience to Him on the ragged edge will not always be easy
When is the last time the praises of God led you on the ragged edge?

When we are out on the ragged edge…
1) Do we instinctively turn our faces to the Lord?
2) Do we embrace Him by belief?
3) Are we faithful?
