It is our utmost pleasure to inform you that the current year 2014marks the 28th Anniversary of PMET's efforts to minimizebackwardness of Muslims in Gujarat in the field of education.PMET was established with a view to considering education is theonly solution of myriad problems Muslims face.

Alhamdulillah, efforts were paid back and as a result, aconsiderable awareness and importance of education arose in thecommunity. Now we see a difference. Graduates, post graduates,doctors, engineers and percentage of female education hasincreased. Though, there is much more to be done as SacharCommission Report shows.

During past 28 years, PMET helped several thousand boys andgirls under total and partial adoption schemes to finish theireducation.

ELOCUTION COMPETITION FOR PRIMARY SECTIONSPONSORED BY

Every year Elocution Competitions for the students of Std. 6, 7

and 8 are organized in four zones (Bharuch, Palej, Amod,

Jambusar). The aim of the competition is to bring out

hidden talents in students. It also aims at developing oratory

skills and eradicating stage fear from them. Every year about

one hundred thirty students take part in this competition.

The winners at the zone levels are qualified for the Final

Competition at District Level. The Competition is very

competitive. The Competition can be viewed and enjoyed on

Students taking Eligibility Entrance Test for CA. on 8 June, 2014th

Primary Talent Search Project

For the last two years, PMET has launched 'PrimaryTalent Search Project’ for the students of 6, 7, and 8 Grades.The students who had secured 80% or more in their last examwere invited to take the Talent Search Exam. The OBJECT ofthe project is to identify from Primary Level highly talentedstudents of the community and to focus more on such studentsto prepare them for highly competitive professional fields.

1415 students from 60 Primary Schools of Bharuch,Vadodara and Surat Districts participated. Question Paperswere set by the expert committee members and the exam wasadministered on February 9

th, 2014 at 5 different centers in Suratand Bharuch.

46 students were qualified on merit base for IRs. 1000/-scholarship for each student (15 students from 6th grade, 13from 7th grade and 18 from 8th grade). The participants whoachieved 50% or more marks were given a token Prize andCertificate. 358 students were qualified for the school bag.

Hostel Facility

M. D. M. Memorial Hostel, Rander

Since 1992, the trust runs and manages the hostelfacility for the students who come to Surat City for their highereducation. The Hostel accommodates 50 students.

The selected-adopted students and all students selectedon merit bases for the C.A. Programme are given free lodgingand boarding facility in the hostel. Other students are providedservices of lodging and boarding at very subsidized rates. Thetrust bears the loss of about more than IRs. 3,50,000/- per yearin hostel expenses. This is the only facility in Gujarat where 35students study for C.A. Programme together under one roof.

The unique feature of the hostel facility is individualattention to every student about their progress in academicfield and care is taken to cultivate Islamic Character.Occasional talks to guide the students are arranged byeducationists and experts in different fields. The totaldevelopment of every student is the mission of the Trust.

Currently, the hostel has a capacity of accommodating50 students and it is always full.

Alhamdulillah, The construction of the roof top flooris completed to meet the growing demand for admission.Now we can accommodate 30 more students. Total cost ofthe roof top construction was provided by MunshiManubarwala Memorial Charitable Trust.

M. Naeem Mansuri, a student whose family was a

victim of 2002 communal riots. His mother was killed and the

house was looted and they were displaced. M. Naeem wasadopted in 2012. His pursuing a B.Com/C.A. Study. He is a

national athlete. He was interviewed by Amirkhan in his

PUBLIC LIBRARY

The Gujarat government has given the permission andgrant to PMET for the Public Library. The library is situated inthe PMET premises and has books of interest to all spectrumof society.

TEACHER MOTIVATIONAL PROGRAMME

On February 16, 2014, a program for Primary teacherswas organized at Maulana Madni Memorial High School -Jambusar. Maulana Ahmed Devalvi Sahab, the president of theevent explained the importance of Deeni and Seculareducation. He said character building is very important withacademic education. The speaker Dr. Sipai talked on thehumane values, character building, responsibilities of teachers,interesting and objective based teaching, essential qualities ofsuccessful teachers.

Teachers participated in the discussion and exchangedtheir views about to be successful teachers.

Teachers from Bharuch and Vadodara Districtsparticipated and took the advantage of motivational talk.

RAHMANI 30, Bihar

In coordination PMET-MMMCT with Rahmani 30 ofBihar, PMET administered Rahmani 30 - Talent Test to selectstudents for the preparation batch for JEE-2015. The test wasconducted in 15 different Centers in Gujarat on April 13,2014. About 1633 students participated. The talent search isan all-India level test and 55 students were qualified forpersonal interview. The personal Interview was held atMMMCT Campus, Bharuch on 18th May, 2014. Five studentswere selected for JEE-2015 to be trained at Anjuman-e-IslamHigh School at Mumbai. NEET programme was developedfor girls to prepare them for all India Medical Entrance test.12 girls were selected for the programme. This is the uniqueProgramme in All over India.

Along with academic education, PMET made a provision for

DEENI TA’LIM to preserve Islamic culture among the

students. To make them understand the importance of Salah,Ibadath, Husne Akkhlaq and other virtues, we have appointed

an experienced A’leem’ from Jamiah Husainiya Rander who

teaches them Qur’an, Namaz and Necessary Basic Islamic

education. This class is run under the supervision of Darul

Uloom Kantharia- Bharuch. We thank the Darul Uloom

Kantharia for Supporting this Class. Huffaz from the Hostelstudents lead the Taravih during the Ramdan.

Islamic Character Building is one of importantobjectives of the hostel facility.

MEDICAL HELP

Medicines and medical services are very expensiveand many common people cannot afford the necessarymedical services or lifesaving medicines. The board of thePMET has decided to sanction IRs. 2,00,000/- per year forthis program. Under this program, vouchers are issued to buythe prescribed medicines from the medical store. Full or partsof the indoor-patients’ bills are paid. Dr. Yusuf U. Patel(Tankaria) administers this program.

The program is very essential for the poor and needysick people. We appeal to donors to extend their generoushands to meet the growing demands of the program. One ofthe best sources to spend your Zakah money. During last year54 patients took the advantaged of this program.

Under this programme, students who have completedtheir studies and are facing problems finding jobs are placed inworking environments of their respective fields to get workrelated experience. During such training, the PMET pays themIRs 2000/- per month and provide free lodging and boarding inthe hostel.
