Truefood+ Product Guide

1. Introduction

Truefood+ is a Blockchain based software product that tracks the end-to-end supply chain.

Truefood+ provides a view into the key details of origin, transport & production throughout the

farm to fork supply & consumption chain, allowing stakeholders to respond better to demands and

changes in them.

The platform communicates with IoT condition monitoring devices to keep track of the

environment around the produce during transit & storage and further report adverse events to

regulators and relevant stakeholders. Truefood+, harnessing the bouquet of Azure services,

offers a comprehensive bundle of value propositions including: i. Food Freshness, ii. Food Safety,

iii. Food Waste Reduction, iv. Food Sustainability, v. Food Traceability & Targeted Recall and vi.

Integration to Existing IT System Across all stakeholders and diligent consideration of their

individual and highly-specific needs.

Truefood+ has been equipped with capabilities of addressing key points when it comes to

consumers, retailers, agri-input manufacturers, farmers and supply chain stakeholders.

• Truefood+ provides knowledge about the source of food, its journey through the value

chain and authentic certifications. Trust what you consume is always fresh.

• Truefood+ provides targeted food recalls with precise root cause identification, leading to

reduction in time to recall, expenditure to recall with minimal brand damage.

• Truefood+ provides digitization of paper-based documents and allows them to be shared

across the network for faster information flow, an efficient supply chain and to prevent

fraud.

• Truefood+ provides communication with the IoT condition monitoring devices to keep track

of the environment around the produce during transit & storage and further report adverse

events to regulators and relevant stakeholders.

In the Test Drive version of Truefood+, two distinct features are available – Product Tracking and

Product Recall.

Product tracking is the forward movement of the food products and product recall is the reverse

movement of the food products.

In the Test Drive, product tracking starts from the manufacturer and ends with the retailers.

Product recall starts from the retailers and ends with the manufacturer. Product recall is always

initiated by the manufacturer.

2. Purpose

This product guide provides a step-by-step guide to use the Truefood+ developed by Bosch as

Test Drive on Azure marketplace. Read this document in conjunction with the Test Drive

application.

Simply click on “TEST DRIVE” to try out the application for free. We would quickly spin up a test

instance and a URL would be shared with you using which the application could be accessed.

3. Login Credentials

To sign-in and experience Truefood+ test drive, use the login credentials provided in the PDF

document below:

4. Login

1. Enter the username of the Manufacturer.

2. Enter the corresponding password.

3. Click the checkbox to see the Terms & Conditions of usage.

4. Click “Accept” to agree or “Decline” to disagree. The application will not be accessible if

you click “Decline”. To enable login, accept the Terms & Conditions.

5. Click on “Log In”.

The system authenticates the username & password combination. After a successful login, you

will be taken to the Truefood+ Product Tracking screen.

Notes:

1. Some of the features described below may be disabled and not available in the Test Drive.

2. Please get in touch with us if you would like to use the full version. We would be happy to

enable it for you.

5. Product Tracking

Step-1: Manufacturer dashboard contains various details about the shipments. It also tracks

the delayed shipment locations on the world map and the products which are delayed.

Step-2: Manufacturer can start the product movement by clicking on any listed shipment with

the status “Created”.

Step-3: Click on the transfer button and select the distributor whom you would like to transfer.

Click on the confirm button.

Step-4: Once the transaction is processed, the transfer button will get disabled and the

pictorial representation of the transaction will get updated.

Step-5: Login to the Truefood+ product screen with distributor login user id and password.

Step-6: The transaction made for the specific shipping number will also be available on the

distributor screen and Receive and Reject buttons will be enabled.

Step-7: Click on the Receive / Reject buttons to receive or reject the shipments respectively.

Step-8: Click on the Transfer button to transfer the shipment to the retailer. Select the specific

retailer. Click on the confirm button.

Step-9: Once the transaction is completed, all the 3 buttons (Receive, Reject and Transfer)

will get disabled and the pictorial representation of the transaction will get updated. The

Blockchain transaction IDs will be visible.

Step-11: The transaction made for the specific shipping number will also be available on the

retailer screen and Receive and Reject buttons will be enabled.

Step-12: Click on the Receive / Reject buttons to receive or reject the shipments respectively.

disabled and the pictorial representation of the transaction will get updated. The Blockchain

transaction IDs will be visible.

6. Product Recall

Product recall has 2 steps – Product recall initiation and Product recall progress.

Product recall initiation is done by the manufacturer and product recall progress is started by

the retailers and ends with the manufacturer.

6.1 Product Recall Initiation

Step-1: Login with manufacturer User ID and password.

Step-2: Manufacturer recall dashboard contains various details about the recalled product

movements. It also tracks the recalled locations on a map & the products which are recalled.

Step-3: Manufacturer initiates the recalled product movement by clicking on Recall button.

The right pane shows the guided navigation from the retailers to the manufacturer for a

specific product. The stakeholder wise product reconciliation maintains the recalled product

quantities owned by the various retailers.

Step-4: After the Recall button is pressed, the recall ID is generated and the Recall button

gets disabled.

6.2 Product Recall Progress

Step-1: Login with Retailer user name and password.

Step-2: Retailer will be able to see the guided flow from himself / herself to the manufacturer.

Other retailers’ view will not be available with him / her.

Step-3: Click on the Transfer button and click on the confirm button. The recalled product

quantity will be transferred to the distributor from whom it was received during the product

tracking phase.

Step-4: The dotted orange line from retailer to distributor will be converted to solid orange

line and Receive and Transfer buttons will get disabled.

Step-5: Login with distributor user name and password.

Step-6: The distributor will be able to see all the retailers who are supposed to return their

respective recalled products.

Step-7: Click on the retailers from whom the distributor would like to receive the recalled

products and click on the Receive button. The recalled product ownership will get transferred

to the solid orange line from the retailer to the distributor will turn into solid green line

indicating that the ownership has got transferred to the distributor.

Step-8: Click on the Transfer button to transfer the recalled product to the manufacturer.

Click on the confirm button.

Step-9: Once the transfer is confirmed, the Receive and Transfer buttons will be disabled

and the dotted orange line from the distributor to the manufacturer will turn into solid orange

line. The Blockchain transaction IDs will be visible now.

Step-10: Login to the Truefood+ product screen with manufacturer login user id and

password.

Step-11: The manufacturer will be able to track the recalled product movement along with

the product reconciliation.

Step-12: Click on the receive button to receive the product quantity. The product will be

received by the manufacturer and his received quantity will be updated.

The solid orange line between distributor and manufacturer will turn green once the

manufacturer receives all the product quantities from the retailers & distributors and the recall

status will change to Completed.

The recall would then be moved under the Historical Recalls tab. An example is shown below:

8. Terms & Conditions

Guidelines for the Usage of the Truefood+ Application

The Truefood+ (“Application”) is owned by Robert Bosch Engineering and Business Solutions Private Limited (“Bosch”) and is only for the testing by Customers through Microsoft Azure Marketplace. The Customers should enter the dummy data and not the real time data for testing the Application. Bosch shall not be held responsible for any actual/real time data entered by the Customers through the Configuration Manager Screens.

Customers shall be granted limited right to use the Application for testing purpose only.

The Application shall be made available to the Customers through Microsoft Azure Marketplace along with user name, password through email, after registering the trial version of the Application.

The Customers shall not copy, modify, adapt, enhance, customize, make derivative works of and edit the Application during the trial version.

Customers agree to use the Application in compliance with all applicable laws, including local laws of the country or region in which Customers resides or in which you use the Application.

The Personal Identifiable data of Customers that Bosch may obtain from Microsoft are as follows:

Users Name, email ID, Phone Number and address

The Personal Identifiable data will be retained for the period of 30 days after the timeline provided to the Customers to access the Truefood+ application through Microsoft Azure Marketplace. This personally identifiable data will be kept only for contacting the Customers or getting the review comments from the Customers. After the period of 30 days, the personally identifiable data will be deleted.

Bosch does not obtain data considered sensitive by the Law, (such as religion, health situation, sexual preferences, political opinion and similar data), through the Application. In the event that this changes, Customers will be informed and Bosch will request Customers express consent prior collecting any sensitive data from any Customers.

In case Customers do not wish for their personally identifiable data to be processed for any of the purposes set forth above, Customer can object to such processing at any time. However, as a result of such objection Customers use of the Application may be prohibited.
