A.R.E.’s 60th Annual Summer Retreat in California will be in Tahoe City at
Lake Tahoe this year. For the 5th year Granlibakken’s 75 acres of peace and pines,
clear mountain air, ski lodge accommodations and fabulous food will be the
conference setting. Returning to their California roots are Sidney and Nancy
Kirkpatrick for a presentation on “TRUE TALES FROM THE EDGAR CAYCE
ARCHIVES, LIVES TOUCHED & LESSONS LEARNED FROM THE SLEEPING
PROPHET.” The conference will begin with dinner on Friday, August 4 and continue
through lunch on Monday, August 7.
Long before psychic mediums John Edward or Sylvia Browne, there was a poor
Kentucky farm boy named Edgar Cayce whose life-transforming concepts and
amazing psychic readings made him the father of holistic medicine and the engine

behind what became the New Age movement. It has not been until now, however—when Sidney and Nancy
Kirkpatrick, were given full and unrestricted access to Edgar Cayce’s papers—that the real story of the “sleeping
prophet” could be told. Edgar Cayce could not do what he did alone. He needed someone to put questions to him, and
someone to record and transcribe the discourse. He needed someone who genuinely wanted his help. He needed a

“MEDIUMSHIP AND HEALING”

Following many requests for a repeat of Carol Lesh’s program “Mediumship and Healing” there
will be another presentation in Davis on Saturday, March 25 a new venue at the Redwood Park
Community Center adjacent to Cesar Chavez Elementary School.
Carol Lesh, local A.R.E. medium, psychic, and healer, will be teaching us how to heal others, ourselves, our animals and even those who live in another location. She will also be doing some of what Edgar Cayce did: speaking to and hearing from those on the other side who have messages for some of us. Carol will share her own experiences and those of Edgar Cayce, as well as show us how to develop our own abilities in the areas of psychometry, healing, and intuition. No experience necessary! She will then conduct a reading for the audience. Participants will use a part of their consciousness to heal, get information from a stranger’s jewelry, and hear healing messages from the departed.
Carol says, “This workshop will give you a chance to explore psychometry for yourself as well as your abilities as a
healer. (Psychometry is the ability to discover facts about an event or person by touching inanimate objects associated with
them.) After we’ve all done a psychometry experiment with a partner, we will learn to give healings. All healing comes from
God. Experience how simple and easy it is to bring healing energy to yourself and others without using any energy of your
own. You’ll leave feeling energized and surprised.”

On Saturday, April 8th, 2017, Nancy Eubel will present a program at the Finnish American
Home Association (FAHA) in Sonoma that offers transformational tools based on the Edgar
Cayce readings and complementary spiritual/religious traditions: tools to guide us during these
polarizing times. Cayce said that in order to set us on the right path drastic changes are sometimes
needed. He likened this to preparing the ground so that the seed can be sown, or to taking down a
building so that a more beautiful structure can be erected. (991-1) Current shifts in our external
reality are providing those very opportunities needed to shake us so that we might awaken to ways
of thinking and acting that must be upgraded to ones more beneficial for our soul growth.
Nancy will explain how these “tools” can assist in transforming, transmuting, and replacing NANCY EUBEL
distorted patterns so that we can come into alignment with God, with Source, to live a multi-dimensional life as the next step in
our spiritual evolution. They include daily affirmations to raise vibrations, energetic protection and cleansing, cord cutting,
accessing past and future information through time openings, and preparing the physical body and environment to ground
elevated energies. By putting these practices into action, we can experience hope, peace, and understanding.
In this program, Nancy reminds us that we, as lightworkers, have volunteered to incarnate during this time of the change of
ages to correct life patterns created in former times, such as Atlantis, and to work in cooperation with others to be channels of
blessings. By holding the ideal of Love we can consciously spread this healing energy to others when we listen with our hearts;
see them through the eyes of the Christ; and send Love out through the web of life-like rays of light to connect with and uplift
each one in our global community. As we use what we know to do, through patience and persistence, we can build that more
beautiful structure, one that raises us all to a new level of consciousness and attunement.
Nancy L. Eubel, MBA, CHt, QHHT, Rt, is a former Co-Executive Director of the A.R.E. She taught the Dreams and
Meditation course for the Cayce-Reilly School of Massotherapy, has mentored several on-line eGroups for the A.R.E., and
presented programs across the country. She is a master clinical hypnotherapist, Quantum Healing Hypnotist, shamanic
practitioner, and Past-Life Regressionist, who has studied past-life therapies in the U.S., India, Turkey, and Portugal. She is a
consulting editor for The Journal of Regression Therapy, and a former Board member of the International Association of
Research and Regression Therapy (IARRT). Nancy is the author of the A.R.E. Press past-life regression book Mindwalking.
Prior to working with the A.R.E. she had a career in business as a corporate controller.
The program will run from 9:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. with doors opening at 9:00 a.m. Attendees are advised to bring a bag

When Richard retired, they moved to Napa, CA. to be near their son and his family. Of course, Lillian started a
study group there. She now lives in Texas, near her daughter Barbara.
Lilian helped us to evolve our limited concepts of God, ourselves, others and our relationships. We thank her for all
her years of service, and we shall be eternally grateful for having known her.
HONOR TWO OF OUR MEMBERS WHO TRANSITIONED IN 2016

Donna Ruth Chapin passed September 7, 2016. Donna and her husband Paul joined
A.R.E. in 1969, Donna quickly became a Council member and our local Book Chairman,
a post she held for about 30 years.
When Lillian moved to Napa, Paul and Donna took the evening group into their home.
They went to many Virginia Beach conferences and returned to share what they had
learned with both groups. Donna taught workshops on dreams, diet, health, and
vegetarian cooking. She was an expert organizer and earned our pet name of “Mother
Superior.” Always positive, her favorite word was “fabulous.” Eventually she had to
close her night time study group due to lack of attendance. However, she joined Modesto
#1 right before our 50th anniversary in 2014, and attended faithfully until she became ill.
We miss her, but are aware that her spirit is still with us. DONNA CHAPIN
MARY MOORE
Mary E. Moore passed November 19, 2016. Mary was Modesto A.R.E. Study Group #1’s
charter member. She was the only one left who was at the first meeting in October 1964.
Mary was a loving and giving soul, always ready to help others. She belonged to A.R.E. &
study group for 52 years. She was our friend, spiritual sister, teacher, and student. She had the
ability to cut through the fog and zing to the heart of what we were discussing. She brought
levity to the group with her humorous Maryism’s such as “I felt like I was drugged through a
knothole backwards” or “I felt like I was up to my armpits in alligators.” She had a passion
for encouraging people to learn about and practice the concepts found in the Cayce material.
Two of her favorite subjects were “will” and “astrology.” She was a jack of all trades. She
and her husband fixed up a house across from their home. We have been meeting there for
about 3 years, and Mary’s husband, George, has graciously allowed us to continue. We call it
Mary’s Clubhouse and she’s always with us in spirit. We’re pretty sure Mary retiled the “Steps to Heaven” on her way
up.
We are eternally grateful for all of these wonderful presences in our lives. 3
HAPPY 100TH BIRTHDAY, LILLIAN

On February 3rd, 2017, Lillian Bennett, the founder of Modesto A Search For God
(ASFG) Study Group #1, reached her 100th birthday. She and her great friend, Eileen Rue,
joined A.R.E. in 1956 when living in Stockton, CA.
In 1964 Lillian and her husband Richard moved to Modesto, CA. and in October of that
year she started the ASFG Study Group #1. She worked to bring people from Virginia Beach
for presentations and they usually stayed in her home while they were here. We had pot
lucks and sharing sessions with the speakers at her home for the group members. Hugh Lynn
Cayce was one of our favorite speakers. Elsie Sechrist was Lillian’s special friend.
Eventually Lillian started 7 groups in our area however #1 is the only one still going
strong 53 years later. LILLIAN BENNETT

As a holistic chiropractor, I have had need of
many pain-relieving remedies over my 30 year
career, not just for patients but also for myself. One
of the hazards of my profession is Carpal Tunnel
Syndrome & other tendinitis issues of the hands,
arms, shoulders & neck.
In searching for the best self-help during a
particularly painful period a couple of years ago, I
turned to the Edgar Cayce healing oils that I had in
my cabinet & started to combine a drop of this & a
dollop of that. What eventually came out of this is a
very reliable pain-relief remedy especially good for
the hands.
I've given this remedy to many patients with
arthritis or tendinitis conditions & had virtually
immediate overnight relief for even severe arthritis.
Many, including myself, use it on other body parts as
well, including knees & feet.
The best time to use this seems to be just before
bed. There is one oil included in this concoction that
is not a Cayce remedy, & that is Arnica montana,
readily available at the health food store or through
windriverherbs.com. The amounts used here are
flexible & approximate. The most important
ingredient is the Egyptian Oil.
So here is the recipe:
2 parts Egyptian Oil
1 part Castor Oil
¼ part Myrrh Oil

ability through a spiritualist medium who told him he had
“healing hands.” When he expressed doubt, the medium told
him to put his hands on his wife, Kathleen, who suffered from
a chronic, painful kidney ailment. When he did, her pain went
completely away and has never returned.
A native of Yorkshire, England, Malcolm’s unique gift has
restored sight and hearing, and cured cancer and other
debilitating diseases. The list of problems presented to
Malcolm has included virtually every physical, emotional,
mental, and spiritual condition a person could suffer. “God
does the healing, not me,” says Malcolm.
In 1984, Malcolm was sent a copy of There Is A River by an
anonymous mailer in the U.S. In 1988, the book Healer! by
Malcolm and Jack Summers was published in Great Britain. A
portion of this book was later used for Spiritual Power Healing
Hands which was published in 2005, co-authored with Robert
Krajenke. In 1996, he was invited by the Heritage Store in
Virginia Beach, Virginia, to give a talk and also was invited to
give a demonstration program at A.R.E. headquarters on
September 16, 1996.
Malcolm began the healing tours in the U.S. in 1997. To
date more than 40,000 people from California, Boston,
Chicago, New York, Philadelphia, Tucson and Scottsdale have
benefited from Malcolm’s healing gifts and prayers.
Malcolm says that sometimes the healing he has given
resulted in instant cures. More often, several sessions are
required for results to manifest physically. He said that a
person may need more than one session because “there is a
process involved… about 70% of the healees will respond to
healing energy 2-3 days after a healing session with either
100% progress or some progress.” He said the healees’ souls
have a lot to do with the receptiveness of the healing energies.

POLITICS AND PAST LIVES

From my teens, early A.R.E. organizer, Jessica Madigan, taught me how to research past lives: to look for
coincidences, physical resemblance and personality carry over.
I watched the last election avidly, having for the second time, worked for and met the Democratic candidate,
Hillary Clinton. I had met her husband, Bill Clinton, previously. Through synchronicity and study from the time of
his presidency through her recent bid, the past lives of these individuals seem evident to me. He greatly resembles
Franklin Delano Roosevelt in his earlier years before polio. His karmic issues with women and ability to lead have
both carried over. Bill’s daughter Chelsea’s appearance suggests that cousins, who married then, may have returned
as father and daughter to work together in new purposeful ways.
Fellow past life reader, Marsha Hunter Mossman, also inspired by Madigan, Hugh Lynn Cayce’s lecturer,
suggested to me that Hillary Clinton might be the reincarnation of Elizabeth Cady Stanton, (1815-1902). My own
research confirms it: the Seneca Falls suffragette, social activist and women’s leader who ran unsuccessfully for US
Congress in New York in 1866, has run again on behalf of those without a voice. (Winning the presidential
nomination Scorpio Hillary Clinton dressed in white to honor Scorpios Stanton and the suffragettes of Seneca
Falls.) Cayce said desire carries from lifetime to lifetime.
For example, Stanton helped house and encourage African American men just after the Civil War to (briefly),
become US Senators. When she asked them to help women vote, she was told, “You will have to wait.” (In this
lifetime she helped President Obama become a senator as well, and though winning the popular vote—twice—has
again, had to wait.) Stanton’s later years were spent as a popular lecturer.
Meeting her today as Hillary Clinton, I thanked her for pioneering efforts toward health care that have
improved my disabled daughter’s life. Holding hands, she and I both shed tears; “this is what she lives for,” her
assistant said. Now her statue will stand in Seneca Falls.
On the other hand, Donald Trump bears a striking resemblance (sans hair
extenders) to the Italian dictator and fascist leader, Benito Mussolini, executed on
April 25, 1945. He had led Italy into three wars, attacked workers, become
Hitler’s puppet against the Jews and pushed Italy into occupation and even civil
war. Dying he swore to return, this time to a larger country. He was described as
a forceful speaker with a “big ego” who swung from early socialism to become
the Founder of Fascism. Our current president’s Leo rising could reflect
Mussolini’s July 29, 1883, Leo sun sign. TRUMP-MUSSOLINI
Edgar Cayce implied that certain extremist souls had the potential to help or to harm. Only time will tell.
LYNN ROGERS
Lynn Rogers was born in Berkeley, California where she became active in
the peace and civil rights movements as a teenager. She received her
bachelor’s degree in Transpersonal Psychology at Antioch University in San
Francisco and her masters in Transpersonal Studies at Atlantic University in
Virginia Beach, Virginia. She took additional graduate studies with theologian
Mathew Fox at The Institute for Culture and Creation Spirituality in Oakland,
California. Lynn is a past life reader, author and graduate of Atlantic
University (1991). Three of her books The Rainbow’s Daughter, Shadow Over
the Beach, and Edgar Cayce and the Eternal Feminine are available for sale at

“AURAS: GUIDANCE FROM YOUR ENERGY FIELD”

Did you know that Edgar Cayce saw auras, the subtle energy field around
your body? He learned to distinguish the meaning of different colors in people’s
lives. The workshop “Auras: Guidance From You Energy Field ” will be held in
Davis on Saturday, May 6 at the Redwood Park Community room adjacent to
Cesar Chavez Elementary School. It is presented by Sandra McGlocklin, a
practicing psychic.
Sandra said, “This workshop will help you understand the meaning of
different auric colors. You will also practice seeing and sensing the colors for
yourself. You will begin to understand what a valuable tool this is for your
ongoing spiritual development.”
Sandra has seen auras since she was a small child. She gradually learned the
meaning and significance of auras and has used this information as a guide
throughout her life. Because of her intense awareness of color, she began
studying color and its application in life, particularly through clothing. She often
noted the relationship between what people wore and the color in their auras.
When color analysis became popular in the 1970’s and 1980’s, Sandra opened a
business in Santa Rosa doing personal color and taught color classes at Santa
Rosa Junior College for seven years. After she retired she now spends more
time doing psychic readings as well as personal colors.
