This summer’s EMTL Summer Academy sessions will be focused

on teaching ideas and content from Parrish & Dominick’s book:

Number Talks: Fractions, Decimals, and Percentages

Additional Summer Focus Mathematical Progressions

TRU-Math EMTL Cohort 1

• Building an understanding of the behavior of fractions and fraction operations

• Examining the math progressions to support teaching practices that promote procedural fluency built on conceptual understanding

TRU-Math EMTL Leadership Induction Cohort

• Deepening our understanding of the behavior of fractions and fraction operations

• Extending our use of learning progressions to build a connected content overview

• Using content-based video analysis to sharpen our ability to analyze classroom practice

AM & PM Content Based Sessions for Grades 2-5
