ownership • Sharing video and using video-based protocols

Who should attend? If you are an elementary teacher, coach, specialist, or administrator involved in promoting meaningful mathematics instruction, deeper learning, and conceptually-grounded lessons, TRU-Math EMTL is for you.

The TRU-Math EMTL Program is designed to support elementary teachers, coaches, and specialists in their efforts to acquire the content knowledge and pedagogical skills necessary to successfully engage their students in rich Common Core-inspired learning experiences. The program is funded in part by a Math Science Partnership

grant administered by the Delaware Department of Education.

TRU-Math EMTL Cohort 1

• Building an understanding of the behavior of fractions and fraction operations

• Examining the math progressions to support teaching practices that promote procedural fluency built on conceptual understanding

TRU-Math EMTL Leadership Induction Cohort

• Deepening our understanding of the behavior of fractions and fraction operations

• Extending our use of learning progressions to build a connected content overview

• Using content-based video analysis to sharpen our ability to analyze classroom practice

Eligible teachers will receive a $400 stipend for completing the four full days of summer professional development.
