Utilities Incentives
Local Incentives
Lincoln County has a grant program that increases with local investment. It is utilized on a case by case basis with an annual grant paid over five years. Lincoln County seeks to keep the cost of government low while offering a very competitive local incentive program including incentives for LEED certified facilities. The County desires to encourage construction within Lin-coln County with buildings that contain more,
• Environmentally-friendly
• Energy Efficient Components
as measured by the USGBC LEED certification system. Lincoln County understands that such construction can incur additional costs. The County has created a credit incentive by which an owner who constructs a building when applied for would receive significant credits to help offset some of the costs of building a LEED-Certified Building.
Training assistance through the new and expanding in-dustry program provided through the NC Community Col-lege System of Gaston College’s Main Campus and Lin-coln Campus. Assistance with recruitment, evaluation and selection of employees through the NCDOC Division of Employment Security.
