Item 1: Security Warning Prompt

Troubleshooting Area How to Troubleshoot Outcome after Troubleshooting

If you see the ‘Security Warning alert’ (shown above) at the top of the Excel registration form when you open it

Click ‘Enable Content’ button.

The Excel form will be refreshed and be properly loaded and ready for use.

If you see a ‘red cross’ in the text area of the form (as shown above) when you open the Excel registration form (as desribed in item 1)

1. Click on ‘File’ from the menu bar and select ‘Options’

The ‘Excel Options’ pop up will be displayed.

2. Click on ‘Trust Center’ from the left menu. 3. Click on ‘Trust Center Settings’ button.

The ‘Trust Center’ pop-up will be displayed.

4. Click on ‘Macro Settings’ and Select ‘Disable all macros with notification’. Then click on the ‘OK’ button. 5. From the Excel Option pop-up window, click the ‘OK’ button. 6. Next, close the Excel form.

The message below (see step 7) will appear on the screen.

7. When you see the message below, click on the ‘Save’ button.

The Excel form will be closed to affect the changes.

8. Open the Excel registration form again. When you open the Excel form, you will see the ‘Security Warning alert’ (shown below) at the top of the Excel registration form.

9. Click on the ‘Enable Content’ button.

The Excel form will be refreshed and be properly loaded and ready for use.

Item 3: ‘If the Form is not working properly’ Dialog Box

If you see the notification message (shown above)

1. Click on ‘OK’. If the ‘Trust Center’ > ‘Macro Settings’ pop-up window opens, proceed to step 3. If the ‘Trust Center’ > ‘Macro Settings’ pop-up window does not open, proceed to step 2.

2. Select ‘Trust access to the VBA project object model’, then click ‘OK’.

When you click ‘OK’, it will display the message (shown below in step 3).

3. Click on ‘OK’ button.

The registration form will be properly loaded and ready for use.

If you see the notification message (shown above) when you open the Excel registration form

1. Please contact your administrator. Refer your administrator to the Administrator Process section on page 9 for troubleshooting support. 2. Click ‘OK’ and close the Excel registration form.

After the administrator has rectified the problem

3. Open the Excel registration form.

You will see the ‘Security Warning alert’ (shown below in step 4) at the top of the Excel registration form.

4. Click ‘Enable Content’ button.

The Excel form will be refreshed and be properly loaded and ready for use.

If the ‘Security Warning alert’ (shown above in step 4) is not displayed, refer to Item 7 on page 10.

Item 5: Reference Validation Issue

If you see the ‘Reference Validation’ notification message (shown above).

1. Click ‘OK’.

The Excel form will be closed (shown below).

2. Close Microsoft Excel by clicking the ‘x’ button at the top right hand corner of the page.

Microsoft Excel will be closed.

3. Open the Excel registration form again. If you see the ‘Security Warning alert’ (shown below in step 4) at the top of the Excel registration form, proceed to step 4. If not, the form is ready and you may proceed to use it.

4. Click ‘Enable Content’ button. Notes : If you do not see this Security Warning and there is no ‘red cross’ sign in the text areas of the form , please ignore this step.

The Excel form will be refreshed and be properly loaded and ready for use.

Administrator Process

1. Log in to the computer with administrator rights. 2. Open the Excel registration form.

Go to either step 3i or 3ii, depending on what you see.

If you see the ‘Security Warning alert’ (shown below) at the top of the Excel registration form when you open it,

3i. Click ‘Enable Content’ button. Notes : If Security Warning alert is not displayed, refer to item 7 on page 10.

The Excel form will be refreshed and be properly loaded and ready for use. Go back to Step 3 of Item 4. Inform the Instructor that the Excel registration form is ready for use.

If you see the ‘Reference Validation’ notification message (shown below),

3ii. Click ‘OK’.

The Excel form will be closed or close it manually (shown below in step 4).

4. Close Microsoft Excel by clicking the ‘x’ button at the top right hand corner of the page.

Microsoft Excel will be closed. Go back to Step 3 of Item 4. Inform the Instructor that the Excel registration form is ready for use.

Item 7: To show Security Warning Alert

To show Security Warning alert

1. Click on ‘File’ from the menu bar and select ‘Options’

Handling of Unidentified Errors If your encountered a problem that is not listed in this guide,

• Firstly, close the excel form and re-open the excel form again.

• If that still cannot solve the problem, please change to another computer and try it again.
