Troopers ID South Florida man killed inTurnpike crash

Troopers identified a South Florida man who was killed Friday in a motorcycle accident on Florida's

Turnpike in Orange County.

Douglas Wade Allen, 53, of Royal Palm Beach, was northbound on the Turnpike and tried to exit onto

State Road 429, the Florida Highway Patrol reported Monday.

Allen lost control as he changed lanes, struck the guardrail, and was thrown off the motorcycle, the

report said.

His passenger, Tracy Cender, 39, of Wellington, was also thrown from the motorcycle. She suffered

serious injuries, FHP reported.
