TRINITY news
We say it over and over again, but it seems impossible that we are already at this time of the year! Time flies…
Remember to PRAY for those who are on your Heaven’s Treasures Prayer List. I am asking God to give TBC a mighty harvest of souls through this intentionally evangelistic prayer effort. Soon, our Evangelistic Prayer Warriors will receive the hundreds of names of those who need Christ, so that they can begin to pray over them.
As is normal, there are a lot of awesome activities planned for TBC and the community during the months of November and December! This newsletter contains information about all of them, and you don’t want to miss out on a single one. Please make the necessary adjustments to your calendar so that nothing is left out.
Of course, during this season, we focus on international missions, along with the rest of our Southern Baptist family. Our Lottie Moon Christmas Offering enables us to be in direct support of the men and women God has called to serve around the world in this very critical time. These folks leave a homeland with which they are very familiar, and journey into parts of the world where many of them have never visited before. Yes, it takes commitment and courage. However, most of all and above all, it takes a CALLING…a calling from God. Please begin now to prayerfully consider what God would have you to give financially, above and beyond your regular offering, to support world missions through the Lottie Moon Offering.
I’m looking forward to seeing how God moves among us this holiday season! He is Good! We are Blessed! It’s a joy to be your pastor!

TRINITY BAPTIST CHURCH | NOVEMBER/DECEMBER 2019 NEWSLETTER
CHILDHOOD MINISTRIES The Fall Festival had a wonderful turnout from the community, and was lots of fun. Those who attended had the opportunity to hear the Gospel message from Pastor Kevin. If you attended the festival and had your family picture taken, be on the lookout for your picture on our church Facebook page. A very special THANK YOU to the Trinity church family for your donations, support and time to make this year’s Fall Festival a success!
E3 & Mission Friends is partnering with Loaves & Fishes to do a holiday food drive for Thanksgiving. Specific food items are being requested and can be dropped off at the church office. Below is a list of the food items they are requesting:
Boxed Stuffing Boxed Potatoes Hamburger Helper Canned Yams Packet Gravy (no glass)
Please be sure to only donate the above listed items, as they will not be able to accept anything else. In addition, you can make a monetary donation for a Turkey or Ham. All items need to be dropped off by Wednesday, November 13. CONTINUED ON PAGE 3...
WORSHIP MINISTRY It is hard to believe (yet, very exciting!) that
Christmas is almost here. What an exciting time
of year when we get to warm up to the fireplace,
drink hot cocoa, play in the snow…wait we live in
Florida, we are just praying for cooler
temperatures to remind us it is Fall!! While we
may not receive any snow, we are still beginning
to celebrate this wonderful time of year! As you
look back on your previous Christmas
celebrations, what is your favorite memory? Was
it as a child waking up on Christmas day seeing
all the presents, filled with wonder of what they
could be? Or maybe it was when you were a
young adult with little children, and you were able
to experience the joy of seeing Christmas through
their eyes? Maybe it is as an adult being able to
give gifts and share the joy of having your friends
and family together. Whatever your favorite
memory is, we celebrate the season with the joy
of Christ in our hearts. Even through all the ups
and downs and sometimes ever-changing
circumstances, we have the hope of Christmas -
therefore we celebrate with joy.
The adult choir and orchestra will be presenting a
Christmas musical with this very thought in mind
called, “How to Have the Best Christmas Ever” on
Sunday, December 15 at 6:00pm. Come, and
watch as we follow a mom who realizes that
Christmas is not going to be the same, and things
are changing that are out of her control. Watch,
as the husband tries to win an ugly sweater
contest for work, and help his wife adapt to a new
reality of growing teenagers. This musical will
make you laugh, cry, and remember what the
manger means to us now. The choir and
orchestra will bring this musical to life through
beautiful melodies and stirring lyrics to remind us
that the birth of Christ is not celebrated just once
a year, but 365! Be sure to invite your friends and
family! It’s gonna be soooo good!!
Finally, the beginning of November will mark one
year our family has been with you here at TBC.
To say it has been a great year is an
understatement. We love and appreciate each
one of you. Thank you for making our family feel
so connected to TBC and your lives. We love
working and serving alongside you and can’t wait
to see what the Lord will do through our lives
together. Thank you again for your love, care,
and words of encouragement to us. We love you!

GOD IS ANSWERING PRAYERS IN A BIG WAY AT TRINITY CHRISTIAN SCHOOL!!!
Just this past weekend, the prayers of our Food Service Director were
answered in the form of a donation of cafeteria
tables. We received enough gently-used tables
to furnish both of our cafeterias. This furniture will
meet our needs for many years to come. We
praise the Lord for bringing us to the mind of a
former school family who learned that the tables
needed a new home. A few phone calls later, and
God’s blessing is in place.
We praise the Lord for our Family Fun Night that we enjoyed on October 17. This event included a Book
Fair, Bake Sale, Literacy Activities, ECE Open House, and culminated with our Gift Basket drawing.
Thank you to those of you who took part! Not only was this a fun, safe event which was enjoyed by many
school families, it also helped to provide new books for our library and nearly $5,000 to help fund school
improvements.
The Lord has been working in the hearts and lives of our students. Already this year a number of students
have accepted Him into their hearts as their Savior. Praise the Lord! Other students and families have
made the adjustment to become a part of the Trinity family and are doing well academically. Our high
school is also growing in amazing ways.
I also want to praise the Lord for the impact He
made in the lives of many students at the One
Real Day Spiritual Emphasis event we hosted
at the beginning of the school year. This
exciting event has allowed the Lord to work in
the lives of a number of our students. This
spiritual growth has made a positive impact in
the lives of our secondary students.
One of our core values is to nurture and
disciple all students in their growing faith.
When God is visibly present and active in the lives of our students, this growth happens in leaps and
bounds. PRAISE THE LORD!!
You will Love what the Lord is doing at TCS!!
Thank you for your prayers,
Shawn Weeks Head Administrator

SENIOR ADULTS Our Senior Adults
participated in a Day
Trip to Winter Park on
Thursday, October 10.
We visited the Morse
Museum and viewed
the incredible displays
of Tiffany Art, as well
as other masterpieces.
Then, we travelled to
the Scenic Boat Tour
of Winter Park’s Chain
of Lakes. This is now
the oldest state
attraction in Florida.
The hour long tour included seeing the lakeside of
Rollins College and many beautiful homes,
including Fred Rogers’ parents’ home when they
visited him while he was a student in college.
Following the tour, we
enjoyed an early
supper at The Coop.
All in all, it was a
wonderful day to be
with friends, visiting a
local attraction. We
have included some
snapshots of our day.
November finds us celebrating our Senior Adult
Holiday Feast on Monday, November 18 at 6:30
PM in the gym of the Lovett Christian Life Center.
Plan now to be a part of this holiday celebration.
Remember to bring a covered dish that will
compliment turkey! We will have a great time of
food, fellowship, and an inspirational speaker.

As we are all aware, from media reports, there are many scammers now trying to get your money. Evidently there are people who are calling and sending emails to
church members across the country pretending to be the member’s pastor. These requests seem to be coming from their church and are asking for donations. These scammers request the person buy gift cards and send the codes to them as a donation to the member’s church.
No one from Trinity Baptist Church will ever send you an email, or phone you, to ask that you do this. We encourage you to be vigilant in protecting yourself from these scammers.
Thank you to all of you who assisted in the Pumpkin
Patch in some way, shape or form. It wouldn`t be
possible to have this outreach and fundraiser with-
out you.
Some of you may have heard me share that we are
looking to start a First Priority of America Club here
at Trinity Christian School. First Priority`s motto is
“The Hope of Christ in Every Student,” and they
train us so we can train students to share the gospel
with their peers. If you want to catch fish, you have
to go where they are. Where do they swim? In
schools, of course. We need to be on many school
campuses. Please be in prayer for this new club as
students learn to share the gospel of Jesus Christ.
“The best way to reach a lost 15 year old, is through
another 15 year old.” (Mark Roberts, First Priority of
America.) We pray that this will only be the start of
many First Priority Clubs here in Apopka. We need
to help start a Jesus movement in this next genera-
tion of young people. We have sat silently in the
stands for too long now. Enough is enough! If you
would like more information as to how you can help
make a difference, please see Pastor Mike.
As one of my good friends David Burton always
says…“It’s only good news if they hear it in time.”
So let’s get out there and share the gospel of Jesus!
Please call or text Pastor Mike with any questions or
concerns. 352-615-6015
Until next time………….. Seek Wisdom, Speak Truth, AND Share Love.
