TRI-KA The mobile characteristics analyser: Now even more efficient Mobile portable measuring instrument The new TRIKA not only identifies the current voltage curves of module strings, but also of individual photo- voltaic modules. The I-U characteristic curve, output, short-circuit current and open-circuit voltage are recorded by a 16 bit processor. During each measure- ment the TRIKA adjusts the measuring range and sample rate optimally. The device is easily and intui- tively operated using the menus on the colour touch screen. The characteristic curve measured by the TRIKA can be converted to a STC characteristic curve based on the values measured by the sensor TRISEN and displayed. In addition, the STC ideal characteristic curve of the manufacturer can be displayed, due to the integrated module data base. Wireless sensor Without contact, the wireless sensor TRISEN measures the cell temperature, the angle of inclination and the irradiation at the solar module level. The measured values are wirelessly transferred directly to the main instrument, the TRIKA. The reference cell for the measuring of the irradiation can be either a monocrys- talline or a polycrystalline cell. Evaluation software The evaluation software was also completely over- hauled. The TRIKA software can evaluate, manage and store the measured module data on the PC. With a few steps of the guided Wizard, the measured data is saved to the respective customer or system directory. Further measurements of the same system can then be added, sorted by date, and compared with the soft- ware. Spektron irradiation sensors

The Spektron 210 and 320 are silicon sensors used formeasuring the solar irradiation. The Spektron 210 pro-vides a voltage proportionally to the intensity of thesolar irradiation. The Spektron 320 has an integratedamplifier. Therefore the sensor signal is amplified andoutput as a norm signal. The output signal ranges from0 to 10 V, 0 to 3.125 V, 0 to 150mV, and 4 to 20mA at 0to 1500 W/m².

Ease of useThe Spektron can be connected directly to a voltmeteror a datalogger. The voltagemeasuredby the Spektron210 can be converted into the unit of irradiation(W/m²), using the calibration value imprinted on thesensor.

Robust casingThe Spektron can be used irrespective of the weatherconditions and under any angle of inclination.

Spektron 210: The 2-core extension cable is UV-resistant. AllSpektron devices are calibrated beneath a sun light simula-tor against a reference sensor, which has been calibrated bythe Fraunhofer ISE.

The Spektron 320 can output up to four different normsignals, due to its integrated circuit board. This board hasto be powered with 5 to 30 V DC or 12 to 30 V DC.

TRITEC temperature sensors

TRITEC surface temperature sensor Pt1000The surface temperature sensor Pt1000 is an adhesivefoil sensor. It was designed for measurements on sur-faces and is primarily used for temperature measure-ments of solar modules.

By installing the surface temperature sensor at theback of a solar module, the module temperature canbe measured. The temperature of solar modules iscrucial for their output, because the output decreases

by 0.43 %/K with increasing temperature. By monito-ring the temperature at the solar cells, conclusions canbe drawn about the behaviour of the output curve.

TRITEC outside temperature sensor Pt1000The outside temperature sensor Pt1000 is integrated ina weather-proof macrolone housing. Its compactdesign makes the sensor extremely flexible: it can beinstalled anywhere. The UV-resistant plastic housing isequipped with a two-core connection cable.

Using the visually attractive dis-plays indoors and outdoors, all data of a solar systemcan be displayed almost in real-time.
