Gold lacquer A good all round choice and the most commonly chosen finish.The lacquered brass gives a warm tone and reliable projection.

Bronze Popular for the players searching for that vintage type tone. It gives a warm and moody sound. Great if you want an older, jazzier swing type of sound.

Red brass Compared to the gold lacquer, red brass has a slightly darker sound with more ‘punch’ and dynamic tonal qualities. Some players say that it has a wider selection of tonal timbres than gold lacquer.

9�5 silver The ultimate in sound for many sax players, the resonance of silver is much faster than the other available finish options giving a much broader and edgier sound. Combine the silver body with a bronze bow/bell and you have a sax that will give great dynamics with a dark and warm sound. The ultimate in sax and sound.
