• Work with the Product and Brand Sales Managers to ensure the brands images were maintained across all

areas of exposure for all 7 brands: Capix, Mission Six, Monix, M3, Silence, Avalanche and Anex.

• Assist in and direct the design process of new products and new product categories based on product briefs.

• Creation of cutting-edge, trend-setting graphics, treatments, finishes and colorways for all product categories.

• Snowboards (concept-to-production ready graphics, materials, finishes, printing processes, and treatments).

Bindings (blacklines, straps designs, materials, eva designs, PVC overlays, colorways, finishes and treatments).

• Took charge and built a design studio and a complete photo studio (with my own, personal equipment).

• Worked directly with key accounts to create SMU product offerings that met and exceeded their requirements.

• Worked directly with our pro athletes to create custom graphics and products for each rider.

• Created collaborative helmet graphics with brands like Monster, Skullcandy and Omatic.

• Managed a pool of approximately 25 international designers and illustrators for various projects.

• Was responsible for tracking project timelines for 7 brands and ensuring all deliverables were sent on time.

• On-the-fly problem solving and decisive decision-making - key when dealing with super-tight deadlines.

• Sped up salesmen sample production by weeks by physically being in factories in Asia as samples were built.

• Photographed all products for 7 brands in my in-house photo studio; saving the company “heaps of cash”!

• Initiated and implemented my tried-and-true docketing system for all studio projects.

exceed the client’s needs, budgets and deadlines. Main areas of focus were Direct Mail Pieces,

Special Promo Pieces, POP, Table Toppers, Menus & Take-Out Boards.

• Head Designer for the General Mills Canada Account

(December 1996 - December 1997)

Worked with the Art Directors and Creative Director to product mechanically correct and visually

effective layouts for General Mills cereal boxes (Lucky Charms, Cheerios, Honey Nut Cheerios, Frosted

Cheerios, Apple Cinnamon Cheerios, Cinnamon Toast Crunch.

(Nintendo Gameboy, Winter Olympics & Jurassic Park promos)

• Studio Operator for various Corporate and Retail Accounts

(October 1996 - December 1996)

Learned the docketing system and the inner-workings and standards of the agency. Was taught the

ropes in regards to file prep and trapping.

ACCOMPLISHMENTS:

• I became a mechanical file prep and trapping wizard.

• I was chosen from 20+ designers and assigned to head the General Mills and Pizza Hut accounts.

• I gained the skill of being disgustingly organized in my file prep and filing.

• I learned the importance of hitting deadlines.

• I learned how to head up a team of designers and operators.

• I learned how to work incredibly fast without getting sloppy.

• I assisted with, then assumed the Art Director’s responsibility for press approvals.

• I learned how to design bilingual packaging (English and French).
