TRIVIA NIGHT
If you don’t have enough people for
a full table at the trivia night, don’t
stress. You can join in with another
table or just make a smaller team.
Smaller tables will be charged per
person ($10 each) not per table.
Hope to see you there!!
Trent Barrett
Congratulations to our Year 3/4 girls who travelled to Wagga last
Tuesday to compete in the final round of the Trent Barrett Shield.
The girls first game was against Kooringal PS, with fresh legs on
the paddock our girls broke their line repeatedly to win 5 tries to
1. The second game we came up against Griffith North PS, after a
few minutes we were up by a few, finishing the game ahead by 7
tries. By now the girls were starting to feel the effects of having no
subs and by the third game we were really starting to feel the
pinch. Into the quarter finals against Temora and our girls dug
deep to muster their energy but unfortunately it wasn’t quite
enough losing to Temora PS by 2 tries. Overall the girl’s effort and
skills were outstanding, they worked well together as a team and
represented our school with pride. Special mention to Star who
was named player of the day and special thankyou to Bek and
Emmy Norris for their coaching on the day.

Enrolling Kindergarten for 2019
We are now accepting enrolments for Kindergarten
2019. Children who turn 5 before 31st July 2019 are
eligible for enrolment in Kindergarten. If you
would like to discuss readiness for school or any
other matters regarding enrolling your child please
contact the school office. The school will be
conducting a pre enrolment/orientation meeting
for parents later in Term 3 to outline our
kindergarten orientation program which operates
in Term 4. If you have a child that will be
commencing school or know of someone who does
please contact the school office.
Tell Them From Me – Parents and
Carers Survey
This Term, our school will be participating in
the Partners in Learning parent survey. The
survey asks parents and carers questions about
different factors that are known to impact on
student wellbeing and engagement.
Running this survey will help our school
understand parents’ and carers’ perspectives on
their child’s experience at school. These include:
communication between parents/carers and
staff, activities and practices at home and
parent/carer views on the school's support of
learning and behaviour. This valuable feedback
will help our school make practical
improvements.
This survey is conducted entirely online and has
been better designed for use on mobile devices
such as smartphones and tablets. The survey
will typically take 15 minutes or less to
complete and is completely confidential. The
parent survey will be conducted during
September 2018. Participating in the survey is
entirely voluntary, however, your responses are
very much appreciated.
Please go
to https://nsw.tellthemfromme.com/dpps to
complete the survey. This survey can be
completed on a mobile device.
Thank you.
