Avenue of the Volcanoes-First meeting will be at Chimbacalle Station to get onboard the train through the Avenue of Volcanoes, a name given by Alexander Von Humboldt to these singular geological formations of the Andes on this parallel structure and this long valley in between, where you can find over 20 volcanoes. Arrival and visit to a farm of roses, we will learn why Ecuador gathers all the right characteristics to produce some of the best roses in the world. After lunch, there will be a visit to Cotopaxi National Park and Limpiopungo Lagoon, where we will find different varieties of plants and birds adapted to this altitude environment. Accommodation at a historical hacienda

Avenue of the Volcanoes - Get onboard the train from Latacunga Station to scenic Yambo Lagoon. During the journey you will be approached by colorful devils from Pillaro village, part of a long Andean tradition known as the “Diablada Pillareña”, declared national heritage. We will celebrate with this folkloric demonstration from the comfort of our train. Arrival to Urbina Station at Chimborazo. Meeting with the last ice merchant of Chimborazo, Baltazar Ushca, who will share the secrets of his old and almost extinct tradition. . Then, arrival to Jatari and the community of La Moya to learn about the Quichua-Puruha culturend their ancestral work systems, we will be able to participate in some of these activities led by the inhabitants of the area.. Arrival to Riobamba and accommodation

Devil's nose train - Early in the morning we will head to the historic Riobamba station, where a huge steam locomotive known as "The Black Monster" will be waiting to take us through colorful quinoa fields, picturesque villages and unique landscapesuntil we arrive to Colta to visit the first church in Ecuador-La Balvanera. Then you will head to visit an Andean traditional market in Guamote. This market has maintained its traditional essence and with luck, we will be able to observe how the barter works among the merchants that meet there coming from many other indigenous communities of the country. Bus trip to Alausi to get onboard Devil's nose train to Sibambe Valley, during its construction, was considered one of the most important engineering milestones in the country.Return to Alausi and accommodation.

The Ecuadorian coast - Scenic bus trip descending from the Andes to the Pacific Coast. During this trip we can witness the dramatic climatic and geographical changes that mark the transition between coast and mountains. Arrival to a traditional hacienda to learn about Cacao Harvesting. Lunch at the hacienda, to enjoy local cuisine. Trip to Naranjito. Get onboard a train to Yaguachi, and finally take a Baldwin steam locomotive to Duran.
