TrekView Tag Basics

TrekView Desktop Reader (DTR)

The Desktop Reader plugs into your PC with a USB “B” to USB cord. It must be plugged into a PC running TrekView software to read and download tag data.

Once the desktop reader is connected to a PC and TrekView software is open, hold the tag within 2 inches of the snowflake on the DTR. Be sure that the desktop reader is not near or on any metal objects (file cabinets, etc.) as this will cause interference.

The HHR must be in the “L” shape shown below, and the grey bulls-eye must be within 5 inches of a tag in order to read the tag data.
