WHERE YOUR MONEY GOES£180 pays for a Marie Curie Nurse to look after someone living with a terminal illness overnight in their own home.

£350 pays for five people to attend day therapy at a Marie Curie Hospice, benefitting from gentle exercise, emotional support and more.

£400 pays for someone to stay in a Marie Curie Hospice for 24 hours, so that they can receive the hands-on care they need in their final days.

DAY 1Depart UKUpon arrival in Calgary we will be greeted by our trek leader and transferred to our accommodation in the beautiful Lake Louise region. In the evening we have a welcome meal, a briefing on the challenge ahead and meet our guides.

DAY 2Lake Louise – Jasper 3-4 hours trekkingThis morning we have an introductory trek in the Lake Louise area and set out towards the mighty Columbia Icefield, along one of the most beautiful highways in the world with its glittering glaciers, emerald lakes and its dense conifer forests. In the afternoon we drive to the town of Jasper which is surrounded by impressive peaks in the Athabasca River Valley. Once in Jasper we will make our way to our campsite where we will enjoy a hearty meal.

DAY 3Jasper – Maligne Lake – Jasper5-6 hours trekkingWe wake up to picturesque surroundings and after breakfast trek to one of the finest views in the area. The greenish blue waters of Maligne Lake stretch towards the hazy distance and the glacier-clad summits rising beyond. The rest of the day is spent exploring the shores of Maligne Lake and driving along the valley road back to Jasper and our campsite.

DAY 4Jasper – Parker Ridge – Lake Louise5-6 hours trekkingToday’s climb follows a series of switch back trails to Parker Ridge, from where we enjoy spectacular views out across the Columbia Icefield and over the Saskatchewan Glacier. After time for photos and a picnic lunch, we’ll continue south along the Icefields Parkway. Along the way we’ll do short walks to either Mistaya Canyon or Panther Falls before arriving at our campground on the banks of the Bow River in Lake Louise Village.
