A MILLION-STAR EXPERIENCE

Romantics, adventurers, and solitude seekers alike can discover the magic of an evening out in Africa – in complete luxury. Delivered by safari vehicle to their chosen hideout, guests spend the sunset hours enjoying a gourmet picnic and spotting the animals that wander past (at a safe distance), before turning in for the night beneath a blanket of stars.

Lion Sands Treehouses have their origins in Chalkley Treehouse, built on the site where our ancestor Guy Aubrey Chalkley made camp in a centuries-old leadwood tree. Since then, they have got a fair bit more luxurious, with Kingston and Tinyeleti added to the collection.

Built just beyond an outcrop of boulders, Kingston is a couple or family’s private vantage over the untamed and untainted, its stillness punctuated only by animals’ whistles, huffs, growls… Guests savour this far faraway experience, in complete luxury – with a picnic dinner, feather beds, and full bathing facilities.

Tinyeleti, meaning ‘many stars’, offers big views of a remote landscape, globed by an even bigger sky, its lights twinkling down to the horizon. But couples and families needn’t forgo luxury for an out-of-this-world experience. A gourmet picnic, illuminated by lanterns, and feather beds ensure guests will be quite comfortable.
