Historic Bridgetown · Founded in 1628, Bridgetown

has survived a number of fires and hurricanes and

boasts a wealth of centuries-old sites.

Garrison Historic Area · For 126 years, this site was

the first British garrison of the West Indies. Today,

visitors can tour Charles Fort, st. Ann’s Fort, the

main Guard, The National Cannon Collection, the

Barbados museum and Historical society and

Garrison savannah, the island’s only racetrack.

war memorial, this triangular plaza is located at the

to lord Horatio Nelson. The monument predates

Nelson’s Column in london’s Trafalgar square by

36 years.

Parliament Buildings · Completed in 1874, this

masterpiece of Gothic architecture is built of local

coral limestone.

Bayshore Complex · This shopping center is

housed in the restored Harbour Police building,

erected in 1800.

Harrison’s Cave · This natural phenomenon is a

collection of stalactites, stalagmites, streams, lakes

and waterfalls.
