In continuation to the instructions issued vide reference Jst cited, it is hereby directed to incorporate the foll owing clause as Clause 3 (C) to the said Memo.

"Under The Maternity Benefit Amendment Act, 201 7 the duration of paid maternity leave avai.lable for women employees was increased from the existing 12 weeks to 2 6 weeks. Under the Maternity Benefit Amendment Act, this benefit could be availed by women for a period extending up to a maximum of 8 weeks before the expected delivery date and the remaining time can be availed pos t childbirth. For women who are expecting after having 2 surviving children or more than 2 surviving children the duration of paid maternity leave shall be 12 weeks (i.e., 6 weeks p re and 6 weeks p ost expected date of delivery)".

2 . All other terms & conditions as communicated vide reference 1st cited remain unaltered. 3. These orders are issued with the concurrence of J MD(Finance, Comm!., &HRD) vide Regd. No.2275 , dt.10.07 .2020.
