Numerous Colour OptionsRODECA® has a vast colour range allowing architects and designers significant freedom in designing a building's look and feel. Different combinations can be blended to achieve unique effects in colour and design. Colours can be drawn from the Standard Crystal and Opal anti blinding range, while custom colours from the RAL colour chart can be manufactured.

Environmental ProtectionRODECA® offers effective protection from harsh UV rays, dust and pollutants while still letting natural light into the space. RODECA® is suitable for all outdoor covered areas, regardless of size or shape and is often used in outdoor showroom settings.

Design and FlexibilityThe combination of well proven system components results in a manifold of possibilities for facade design, for example:

• Curtain wall facades

• Daylighting facades

• Decorative facade screens

• Functional facades including operating sashes

• Translucent heat insulated walls/facades

Easy InstallationAs the panels are extruded, lengths of up to 24 metres are possible (subject to transport restriction). Seamless vertical jointing means a wall free of visible extrusions creating a fantastic looking facade. Simple concealed fastening clamps means quick and easy installation of the system.

Design Components Profile

Freespan up to 4 metres in height in high wind zones can be achieved with this profile composed out of two polycarbonate elements without the need for any horizontal reinforcements. The profile in the same colour as the corresponding panel makes it practically invisible, providing a continuous optical aspect impossible to realise with other products.

The smaller part of this profile is inserted into the furrow of the 30mm and 40mm panels during installation. The bigger part of the profile is then joined with the first component of the profile (as seen in the picture) and fastened to the top and base of the carrying construction. RODECA® also provides the option of inserting a steel tube into the bigger profile to ultimately increase the load capacities.

PC 2540 - High Impact

A high impact version, panel PC 2540, is available on request and provides a greater resistance against damage due to increased thickness of the external wall. PC 2540 is ideal for sports halls, high traffic areas and regions exposed to extreme weather conditions.

Reflexa Panel

This is an innovative system for cladding facades which combines the lightweight panels, the speed of mounting and good thermal insulation with the aesthetic aspects of anodized aluminium. REFLEXA panels can be produced with a light transmission ranging from 0 up to 50%. Integration with other RODECA® systems allows the REFLEXA panel to achieve traditional translucent elements without breaking the continuity of the facade. This version is available in thicknessess from 16mm to 40mm. Thanks to the extaordinary R-Value of this system, the panel in 40mm can be used as the sole wall component of the facade.

Installation Process

A • Weatherproofing extrusions are installed around the perimeter of the opening.

• The panels are then inserted by feeding the panel right up into the head section (1)

• The bottom of the panel is pushed into the façade line (2)

• Then panel is dropped down into the sill extrusion (3).

• The panel is slid along to the end of the opening and fed into the jamb extrusion (4).

• Midspan concealed fastener (detail Y) is fastened to the first panel installed for secure locating.

B The second panel is fed into the extrusion system in the same process as the first panel (1-3) but in step 4 the panel is locked into the first panel via the male / female configuration of the RODECA® panels (detail X) which also locks into the concealed midspan fastener (detail Y).

C The process of Step B is repeated until at the end of the façade run.

D Shows the location of the midspan concealed fastener. At the completion of the panel installation the perimeter extrusion has EPDM rubber gaskets installed to lock in panels once complete. The system is now weathertight.
