TRAINMANBotswana Railways invites qualified Citizens with a good record of accomplishment to apply for the position of a Trainman tenable in the Operations Department in various Stations along the Railway line. This position reports to the Traffic Officer - Train Crews in the Operations and Engineering Department.

Main purpose of the job

To perform en-route shunting and crossings within the various Botswana Railways Stations and other prescribed limits ensuring that all movements of trains are done in a timely, safe and cost-effective manner to meet the objectives of the Organisation.

Position requirements

Education: COSC/BGCSE

Professional/Technical Qualification: Certificate in Trainman’s Course

Experience: Five years’ experience as a Trainman or equivalent.
