“Excellent course, focused on our requirements.”

M. Stroud (Kodak, UK)

An Approach to Innovative Training

Our process instrumentation training is specifically designed for today’s industrial engineer or plant worker with a focus on interaction and a blend of different types of learning methods. Lessons use animations, graphics, audio, video and interactive exercises to augment and intensify the entire learning experience. By focusing on the principles of see, hear, read, and do, the courses encourage interactive learning and stimulate interest.

Each training course consists of both theory and hands-on activities while providing practical interaction with a range of devices. Trainees will configure and calibrate several measurement instruments thus helping their understanding of the theoretical principles involved

Each training course experience centers around the Emerson flow loops which simulate an actual plant environment. Students are able to see the wide breadth of Emerson technologies in applications and learn how devices operate under various conditions. Specially designed, portable demonstration units are also available to effectively perform practical on-site training sessions at customer facilities or plants.

Classes are restricted to a maximum of eight trainees. This way, trainees benefit from the positive learning atmosphere and get sufficient attention from the instructors.

Measurement Technology Training

Engineers are often faced with challenging applications for which they have to select between different technologies. Given the vast range of measurement technologies, engineers can therefore benefit from our professional, up-to-date hands-on training, encompassing the use of modern instrumentation.

Measurement Technology Training is designed for those interested in understanding the principles of various measurement technologies, or those involved in specifying, choosing, and applying instrumentation. The courses provide an in-depth look at both the operational aspect of devices and the appropriateness of various technologies to defined applications.

Individual courses are available that cover basic measurement technology with a choice of flow, level, pressure, temperature and wireless.

Instrumentation Maintenance Training

Troubleshooting can be one of the most frustrating tasks maintenance employees face. In order to resolve an issue, vast knowledge is required to understand complex process devices.

Instrumentation Maintenance Training is designed for service and maintenance personnel. Trainees will benefit from up-to-date “hands-on” training using actual devices and specialized tools. These comprehensive courses cover instrumentation operating principles and capabilities, installation, calibration, configuration, troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance.

Individual courses are available, addressing instrumentation maintenance with a choice of training for flow, level, pressure, temperature, wireless, density, and viscosity devices and digital communication protocols.

Courses Course Topics

Training courses focus on the areas of Measurement Technologies and Instrumentation Maintenance. The topics are targeted at various audiences and provide unique learning objectives.

Course Formats

We realize that everyone learns in a different manner. To tailor the training to your needs, we offer you the following options:

• Instructor Led Training - Dedicated Class • Instructor Led Training - Open Registration Class • Online Training Instructor Led Training – Dedicated Class

Many of our classes are taught via the traditional Instructor-Led format, entirely customized to your requirements and held for a group of participants. This format is particularly valuable for your company when more than one person is interested in a specific training. We can offer courses based on predefined Emerson training modules, add specific topics, or even develop entirely customized content. Location and training dates will also be decided upon together with you.

The training can be delivered in different European languages, please contact us for all available options.

Instructor Led Training – Open Registration Class

Some courses are also available for Open Registration. Here participants have the opportunity to meet users from different industries. The content of the training is pre-determined and Emerson decides on the best suitable training, dates and location.

The language will primarily be English, but could also be subject to local requirements. For available locations and dates, please contact the relevant training centre.

Online Training

Online learning is an excellent way to help manage your time and costs when you can not attend a regional or local training session. Online training is offered as Instructor-Led or Self-Paced - it’s your choice.

For more information about our online training offerings please contact the relevant training centre.
