Message from the Chief Executive OfficerI am pleased to introduce Survivex Limited, a global company
offering a range of training-related services to the international
energy industry.
I launched Survivex in January 2011 with the aim of setting a new standard in training
through a quality focused approach. Utilising the practical experience and extensive
knowledge gained from over 10 years focusing on health and safety within the oil and
gas sector to create a company which didn’t just meet standards, but exceeded them.
I have always believed that our business is not printing certificates, it is delivering life-
saving skills. I have carefully hand-picked a team with extensive experience and an
unrivalled passion for delivering safety training. They are flexible, committed and at the
top of their chosen sphere, just like Survivex itself.
As a company we aim to be professional and cost effective, offering excellent customer
care and contemporary training techniques, making the whole Survivex experience
second to none.

Survival TrainingSurvivex Offshore Survival Training will give you an insight into
working and living offshore while also equipping you with the
vital life saving skills required to survive a controlled helicopter
ditching or rig / vessel evacuation.
Our training uses high fidelity simulators to replicate the actual events in as much detail
as possible while ensuring a safe and controlled training environment.
Our training pools are equipped with environmental effects simulators including wind,
waves, rain, thunder and lightening. We are the only training provider in the UK to
feature an indoor lifeboat with safelaunch davit system.
We have two survival system METS 30 Helicopter Underwater Escape Training (HUET)
which feature internal layouts exactly replicating the helicopters used in the North Sea
fleet (Eurocopter Superpuma 225, Sikorsky S-92 and Augustawestland AW139).
Realistic HUET training is vital because trainees are taught to escape a ditched
helicopter using touch as primary means of orientation.
We train offshore helicopter pilots for the largest North Sea helicopter operators
as well as pilots and crew of the UK Search And Rescue (SAR) force and Air
Ambulance crew from all over the UK.

Training address the fundamentals required to protect
people, plant and equipment in an offshore environment.
We simulate realistic training scenarios in a safe and controlled way. Our
training will cover all the required ERT skills with a strong focus on team
work.
Our fire training rig consists of a galley, accommodation module and
engine room as well as ladders, stairs and walkways. The rig is connected
via a sky bridge to our life-size offshore helideck, which has stairwells an
ancillary heli refuelling / fire fighting kit as found offshore.
Team training exercises can be tailored to company specific procedures
as required, supported with an offshore visit before the course to brush
up on basic skills, such as donning BA sets and hose running.

Industrial Skills TrainingSurvivex Industrial Skills Training delivers the key skills
required to make your workforce more efficient and safe
in their day to day roles.
Our expert instructors will coach and mentor delegates to better assess
risk, plan and supervise.
Training courses are a mix of theoretical and practical training exercises
delivered in a well organised and safe environment.
We offer a range of accredited or in-house courses, most of which can be
delivered at your premises if preferred.

7 Onboard Training
Onboard TrainingOnboard Training from Survivex can deliver North
Sea safety standards anywhere in the world. Our
training will improve crew competency and operational
effectiveness while realising significant cost synergies
when compared to traditional training methods.
All our trainers are experts in their field with years of industry experience
and are qualified Instructor/Assessors. We have trained on over 150
assets in 39 different countries and completed 25 new build mobilisations
from shipyard to drill location.
Our onshore support team will plan the training prior to mobilisation and
create a gap analysis and daily training plan based on the existing training
matrix.
Our aim is to achieve 100% compliance with company, contract and
national legislative requirements. We can offer advice on training matrix
content when your rig moves to a new location.
Trainers work 12 hour shifts to suit ongoing rig operations and are multi-
diciplined so can train a wide variety of courses while on board. All
training courses feature a mix of theoretical and practical training and are
accredited by OPITO, IADC, API, NORSOK, NR and HSE, as appropriate.

First Aid TrainingSurvivex provides accredited first aid training for
on and offshore roles.
A mix of theoretical and practical training is delivered to enhance
competence levels in those required to administer first aid to injured
personnel.
HSE and SQA accredited First Aid courses can be delivered at the
Survivex training facility or at your own premises by experienced and

services to companies and individuals operating in the global

All medical assessments and treatments are carried out by experienced health

stand alone appointment.

Standby RescueOur Standby Rescue Teams can provide
specialist emergency response cover for
any task, in any environment, at any time.
When operations involve high risk conditions, health and
safety legislation and industry best practice dictates that a
competent and qualified standby rescue team is in place.
Recruiting a permanent team of specialists or training up your
own staff can be time consuming and cost prohibitive.
At Survivex, we have a team of highly experienced and
qualified professionals who can provide rescue cover on
an ad-hoc basis for a variety of hazardous scenarios at any
location.
Memberships & Accreditations
Mobile TrainingThe Survivex Mobile Training Units have
been developed to provide specialist
training at remote and difficult to access
global locations.
Units are fully equipped to deliver a range of Industrial Skills
based training, can be shipped to any oil producing region
world-wide and configured to the clients exact specifications.
Utilising bespoke mobile facilities alongside client’s onsite
equipment allows us to deliver unique training solutions which
are relevant to current operating environments.
Safety MediaWe have a comprehensive range of safety
media designed to keep your personnel
safe on the job.
Our safety media products have been developed to provide
reference materials which can be accessed by personnel
while undertaking their daily tasks. Suitable as post-training
handouts, these are equally valuable as stand-alone
products for your crew.
A number of generic publications have been translated into
multiple languages for the benefit of our international clients.
If none of these are relevant our technical team can produce
company specific products, including handbooks, flip cards,
safety posters and pocket cards for on-the-job reference.
