To meet these needs, each client is matched with a personal Tradebank Broker. In addition, Tradebank’s website is available to you at myTradebank.com. On the website you will find Client Directories, Visitor’s Guides, and Classified Ads along with your complete contact and account information.

In the next few months Tradebank TV will host a variety of videos on demand to help you understand the many opportunities available through Tradebank. Watch for more details. Tradebank is committed to helping you grow your business, increase your prosperity and enhance your lifestyle. We do it everyday for thousands of business owners.

Furthermore, when you use Tradebank Dollars rather than cash to pay for overhead expenses you are able to significantly improve your cash flow. In addition to barter opportunities related to your business, your participation with Tradebank also provides you with the opportunity to use Tradebank Dollars for lifestyle enhancements such as restaurants and travel, as well as humanitarian efforts in the form of Tradebank Dollar donations.

As I travel across the country meeting new and long time Tradebank clients, most are eager to share all the ways they have benefited from their Tradebank experiences. With smiles on their faces, these clients enthusiastically cite example after example of the many ways Tradebank has saved and earned them money and the business and personal relationships they have developed through Tradebank. Those who have not experienced the same level of participation are always very eager to find out how they too can add to their understanding of how to use Tradebank Dollars and take their barter experiences to the next level.

There are so many opportunities available through Tradebank, and each interaction brings on an additional opportunity. Our challenge is to always help clients understand the big Tradebank picture and how to best apply the opportunities presented.

The benefits from including barter in your business and personal life are abundant. The Tradebank organization has been a leader in the world of cashless commerce for over 24 years. As a pioneer in the burgeoning barter industry, our roots extend back to the 1970’s.

For you as a Tradebank client this means you are trading within a framework of solid financial and business practices combined with dynamic marketing opportunities. Your local and national Tradebank team has the know-how and expertise to put those two forces to work for you to improve your prosperity and quality of life.

The Tradebank trading network is comprised of a very diverse client base enabling you to trade within your own region as well as across our trading network. The scope of Tradebank’s trading opportunities has direct positive financial results for business owners who use barter advantageously.

As a Tradebank client you have a distinct competitive edge in the marketplace to attract new customers for your products and services because you accept Tradebank Dollars as payment. As a result of their trading experiences with you, these new Tradebank customers will also tell others who are not part of the trading network about your business.

Speaking From Experienceby Marcy S. Yaffe

Marcy S. Yaffe is the Vice President of Trade and National Training Director of Tradebank International. She has over 26 years’ experience brokering barter transactions. Contact [email protected] or 888.568.5680 ext 118.

As the 4th quarter of 2011 approaches, take time to look forward and look back at the barter opportunities you have been utilizing and those you may have missed.• What have you accomplished

through barter?• How are you using Tradebank to

attract new customers?• Are you asking your new

Tradebank customers to introduce you to their circle of influence?

• Are you consistent in your approach to using Tradebank Dollars rather than automatically defaulting to the familiar and having to spend cash?

• Have you developed a barter budget and trading strategy based on what is available in the Tradebank trading network?

Tradebank of the Triad has opened in North Carolina to introduce area businesses to the benefits of barter and expand Tradebank’s trading network for existing clients. John Faircloth will be the local manager and Sindo Mayor is the Regional Owner. Together Faircloth and Mayor’s focus is expanding Tradebank’s presence in the Triad marketplace by introducing local business owners to the benefits of barter through Tradebank. Mayor is also the Regional Owner for Tradebank of Charlotte, one of the fastest growing Tradebank regions in the country. Mayor and Faircloth will be working together in order to expand and complement the success of the Tradebank of Charlotte region.

“I am truly excited about barter and am delighted to introduce a concept to business owners that will save them cash and increase their bottom line,” stated Faircloth, a native of Winston-Salem and graduate of Guilford College in Greensboro. “Businesses need all the help they can get in this economy, and I believe barter provides a competitive advantage and is a smart step for business growth.”

Faircloth will work closely with the business communities in the Triad. He has more than 20 years of sales and service experience within the financial industry. Prior to joining Tradebank, Faircloth owned an investment company for several years and also worked as an investment banker with one of the nation’s largest financial institutions.

“John and Sindo will do a fantastic job in building a thriving barter economy in North Carolina,” remarked Todd Gerry, president of Tradebank International Franchising Corporation. “Both are service-oriented individuals with a passion for helping others.”

In April, Tait Carson, Regional Owner for Tradebank of Orlando arrived at his appointment to meet with John Morgan, a professional speaker, to discuss how Morgan could incorporate bartering through Tradebank into Morgan’s business plan. Imagine Carson’s surprise when the gentleman extending his hand and asking, “Tait?” appeared to be George W. Bush!

As an award winning George W. Bush impersonator, Morgan has mastered the appearance, mannerisms, speech patterns and language of the former president. During his meeting with Carson, Morgan spoke both in his own voice and that of George Bush. Morgan and Carson formed a new mutually beneficial relationship, with Tradebank as the catalyst.

However, Morgan’s participation in Tradebank was kept on the down low so that everyone would be surprised when Morgan made an appearance as George W. Bush during Tradebank’s International Convention in August. Over the next few months there were many hush-hush meetings, as arrangements were made to have “Dubya” join the Tradebank group for dinner during the convention. Knowledge of Morgan/Bush’s appearance was kept under tight wraps until intentional rumors were spread to the convention attendees that Bush was staying at the hotel and may be persuaded to make an appearance during the evening.

At the appointed time, while Tradebank Regional Owners and Corporate Staff from across the United States and Canada had dinner, “Secret Service” made a sweep through the banquet room. Afterward, the group was alerted that a special guest was on his way into the room and to get their cameras ready. As “Hail to the Chief” played in the background, the crowd stood and applauded as Morgan greeted the stunned audience as George W. Bush.

“George W. Bush” Endorses Barter & Praises TradebankBy Marcy S. Yaffe

“Dubya” had the crowd in the palm of his hand with his uniquely delivered special message on the benefits of barter and praise for the Tradebank organization. The group was laughing out loud as “Bush” described his life as president and spoke of his personal political observations in perfect “Bush-ness”. In addition to being a phenomenal impersonator, John Morgan is also an accomplished musician and added to the crowd’s delight as “George Bush” played the guitar and sang.

The next morning, John Morgan delivered a powerful personal message from his own heart and in his own voice. Morgan stressed the importance of never underestimating your God-given talents and calling. He emphasized the importance of being true to yourself. Morgan shared the connection he feels as both an imitator of George Bush, and most importantly, striving to be the imitator in both words and deeds of Christ.

Morgan shared his personal struggles, perseverance and accomplishments as well as the highs and lows of his own life and his responded to each. After his moving and thought provoking address, Morgan personalized and autographed his book, My Life as a Bush and My Heart for Imitating Jesus.

As a Tradebank client, Morgan makes personal appearances as George W. Bush, has customized video messages as Bush for birthday greetings and other special occasions, and sells his books and CDs. Morgan is also a John Maxwell Leadership Development Certified Trainer qualifying Morgan to lead and facilitate instructional groups on a wide variety of topics.

As the year draws to a close, now is the time to start making plans to use Tradebank Dollars to cover year end expenses and plan for the first quarter of 2012.

While barter has always been a marketing tool rather than a tax tool, there are trading strategies that you can consider when including barter in your business plan.

Has 2011 been a profitable year for you? If so, using Tradebank Dollars to purchase goods and services that qualify as deductions against your income makes good sense. Consider using your Tradebank Dollars for accounting fees, advertising, commissions and sales expenses, continuing professional education, contract labor, employee benefit programs, legal fees, printing, salaries, wages and other compensation, software, office expenses and supplies. These are just a few of the categories which may qualify as allowable business deductions. Your financial advisor can update you on the specifics regarding current IRS requirements. Also, since there is talk regarding the depreciation rules changing, you may want to consider making these type purchases in the 2011 tax year. Your Tradebank Broker can introduce you to Tradebank clients who trade in these categories or you can go to the directories at myTradebank.com.

Be Strategic In Your TradingBy Marcy S. Yaffe

Creating employee benefit programs using Tradebank Dollars can take many forms. Tradebank offers Affiliate Accounts which are established for your selected employees. Each account has its own client number, Tradebank card and access to myTradebank.com separate from the parent account. Funds are transferred from the parent account into the employee Affiliate Account at the discretion and amount deemed by the parent account, with minimum transfers of T$100 to each established account. Payroll taxes on Affiliate Accounts are the responsibility of the parent account and employee. Affiliate Accounts are used to pay salaries, incentives, sales contests, year end bonus and other compensation that recognizes and rewards key employees without a large cash outlay. Affiliate Accounts can also be used as a “self insured” medical stipend with allowances for optical, dental, chiropractic care along with other health and medical expenses offered by the Tradebank clients in your region.

Also consider using Tradebank Dollars to make tax-deductible contributions to the 501(c)(3) non-profit organizations who participate in Tradebank. The companies participating range from human rights to homeless shelters to religious organizations to animal welfare.

A complete list can be found in the Library at myTradebank.com and all those organizations listed welcome your generous Tradebank Dollar donations.

Strategizing payments and purchases in which tax year is most advantageous to you may also be a prudent consideration. For instance, if 2011 will prove to be a less than profitable year for you, you may want to accept all the income possible since your tax liabilities will be lower. From a trading standpoint, ensure that all your Tradebank sales have been authorized and any pending work/payments is completed in 2011. (The flipside of this is, of course, to make sure all your purchases have been paid for as well.)

Other considerations: It is always prudent to review your current expenses. What products and services are you paying cash for that you could be paying for with Tradebank Dollars? When you login to myTradebank.com on your client profile you will find a listing of over a thousand categories of products and services available throughout the Tradebank network. Which can you be utilizing? Be sure to synchronize your holiday expenses with the products and services available through Tradebank in your region. Alert the party planners/shoppers on your staff and in your family to use Tradebank Dollars rather than cash whenever possible. Gifts for staff, clients, family and friends, catering, parties and decorations, Holiday cards and many other holiday related expenses can be traded.

On a final note, do you owe outstanding cash fees? Now may be the time to make sure they are current so they qualify as year end deductions.

Increasing your prosperity and improving your bottom line are constant objectives for incorporating barter in your business plan and your local and corporate Tradebank staff are always here to assist you in maximizing your trading opportunities.

Two Events You Won’t Want To Miss

Building on Tradebank’s spectacular Expos last year, the 2011 Holiday Trade Expos in Atlanta and Chattanooga will showcase Tradebank clients from across the Tradebank trading network.

Tradebank’s Trade Expos provide a tremendous opportunity for you to meet, sell to and buy from Tradebank clients from regions outside your own market. Space always fills fast, so clients interested in selling their products and services during the Expos are encouraged to reserve your booth space today.

In addition, your guests are invited to shop, network, and expand their understanding of the full benefits Tradebank has to offer.

Whether attending the Expos as an exhibitor or shopper, you are able to use Tradebank Dollars for accommodations, entertainment and restaurants while in the area. For more information in the Atlanta area, email [email protected]. For information in Chattanooga, email [email protected].

In Atlanta, this year’s venue is the beautiful Crown Plaza Atlanta Hotel, Perimeter at Ravinia, just off 285 at the Ashford Dunwoody exit. This spectacular venue will showcase Tradebank clients in a prestigious and convenient location.

In Chattanooga, the Expo will be held at the same popular and convenient venue it has been for the past 9 years, the Gateway Business Center. Gateway is conveniently located one mile from Chattanooga in Ringgold, Georgia. Both locations offer convenient free parking, pick up and delivery.

If you attended the Expos in past years, you will recall that booths overflowed into the aisles with products and shoppers as Tradebank clients sold and purchased an extensive array of jewelry, art, clothing, gift baskets, candy, leather goods, hunting and sporting goods, computer equipment, electronics, health and beauty products, gourmet food, holiday items and many other goods. This year the Expos promise to be even bigger and better.
