My approach to family portraits is to capture images that show real family moments.
Start thinking about your session now.
Plan a picnic or a family project that everyone can get involved. Maybe an an outing somewhere fun or a dog washing session in the backyard.
On booking a session you will recieve a comprehensive guide with tips for how to prepare for your session.
I will capture your family at work and play, and find those the genuine moments that will create magical memories for you.

Capturing the early days of your newest family member is best done in the first 5-10 days.
Sessions after day 10 will be approached as a normal family portrait session.
I can pencil you in and ask that you contact me as soon as baby is born so I can be available for your session.

Once a session has been booked with TLP you will receive a comprehensive guide to help you prepare with lots of tips for fantastic portraits!
What does a session look like?
A session with TLP is always relaxed and not rushed. My goal is to capture moments that make your family special- sharing a story with your child, playing a game, taking a walk, hugging, playing, or just chilling out at home. I capture family moments and images of everyday life. Stiff and posed shots are not the type of images to expect. There will be a mix of natural and directed shots. However, this all depends on you and your family’s wish for the session. See the blog for examples of my style and latest news.
Before the session I'll ask you to complete a questionnaire so I can get to know you and your family. There will also be a portrait agreement to complete.
Where will the session take place?
In your home or another location of your choosing. I can help you out with location sug-gestions. As I use natural light, on the day I will walk around identifying the best light and locations in your home/location. If on location, I encourage you to bring anything you want to incorporate into the shoot. We can discuss this prior to the session.
What should we wear?
Anything goes really. You need to be comfortable and relaxed. Dress up as much as you like with your fancy shoes or casual and comfy in jeans and a T-shirt. Think about the im-pact of the image that you want up on the wall of your home. Once a session is booked you will receive a detail guide on clothing suggestions.
How many images do we get?
For a family session I will provide between 30 – 40 images in your online gallery.
FAQ
Here’s a SNAPSHOT of what having a photo session may look llke

Book a session - set a date, pay ses-sion fee and sign Portrait Agreement & Model Release.
Have your awesome session at a location of your choice.
In 2- 3 weeks look at your private online gallery, available for 1 week.
Place an order using an email order form or in person.
3-5 weeks receive your gorgeous prints & products.
Terms and conditionsAll clients are required to sign a Portrait Agreement &
ModelRelease.
ORDERINGAfter your session approximately individualised processed images will be available within 2-3 weeks to view online. However certain times of year or large amounts of coverage may necessitate a longer waiting period.
The online gallery is available for 1week. Once the gallery has been closed there will be a $25 fee to upload your gallery for an additional week.
Ordering is done by phone, online or in person using a provided order form. An invoice will be sent with payment details. Preferred method of Payment is bank deposit. Once full payment is received, delivery of products will be 4-6 weeks. Each image is individually processed to create the best possible image or piece of art for your home. The time this takes is included in the price.
Important stuff...
PHOTO BOOKSTracy Lee Photography will do the initial design. A preview is available online before order is completed. It is requested that the Client submit changes within 2 weeks of receiving daft copy. The Client can request 2 changes to thelayout without incurring charges, above that the fee for work done is $50 per change set or $100 if change requests are received after the 2 week grace period.
Extra spreads are charged at $50 each. The final design will be submitted for Client’s approval, once approval is received the album design will be put into production, after which point it cannot be cancelled or changed.
TERMSTracy Lee Photography reserves the right to use any photograph in any form such as, but not limited to, the use in advertising, reproduction, and copyright. All images are copyrighted by Tracy Lee Photography, even those you purchase.
Copying, scanning or reproducing images is strictly prohibited, but purchase of digital images permits unlimited printing for personal use. Print-capturing images from the website is also prohibited. Prices are subject to change without notice and are non-negotiable.
Prices are guaranteed for 30 days after your session. Due to the custom nature of photographic products, no refunds will be issued.
By hiring Tracy Lee Photography, you agree to these terms. Further details are outlined in the Agreement which clients are required to read and sign beofre their session takes place.
