Field Operations apps enable our customers to perform the common phases of field work – and ArcGIS ties everything together. Use the power of location to improve coordination and operational efficiency in field workforce activities. Reduce or even replace reliance on paper. Ensure that both field and office workers use the same authoritative data to reduce errors, boost productivity, and save money.

• ”Near real-time” assessments during events- Flooding - Wildland Fire- SAR

Evaluate where responders have gone

Presentation Notes
Tracker for ArcGIS is a new capability of ArcGIS that allows organizations to track the last known location of ArcGIS Named Users and their Location Tracks, a record of where the users have gone, so they can be monitored and analyzed using the ArcGIS Platform. Location Tracking can be used for a variety of uses: End of day assessments – during an emergency event, responders need to assess and plan daily operations. Today they use handheld GPS units to understand where responders have traveled and where they need to plan for the following day. Bringing the track logs from a handheld device to a smartphone that can sync with improves efficiency and speeds up the assessment process. Proof of work – when field inspections happen, the location of a field worker in relation to the work that is being performed can be quite important. Level of Service – when hiring contractors or even when overseeing staff, there is a common understanding of the service the field worker is committed to performing. However there isn’t a way to quantify that commitment. Knowing the location history of your field workforce, you can validate the level of service you are paying for. Situational awareness – during an event, knowing the last known location of security personnel and event staff.

Location TrackingHow can I use it?

• Proof of work- Liability during incidents- Evaluating Worker performance

• Level of service- Quantifying the work of contractors

• Ease of Use- Smartphone/Tablet app on contractors- Identity Management- Turn on/off when needed
