Formerly TLC 110 Learning For Tomorrow

Should the media be censored? Is graffiti art or vandalism? What are the keys to critical thinking?

In this unit you will learn to think critically about issues, to research information, to reference sources, to locate evidence in support of arguments, and to develop skills in academic writing.

Through active participation, this unit will help you equip you to succeed in your future endeavours and will open your mind to new ways of thinking about the world.

This unit is presented on the university campus by lecturers and tutors in an adult learning environment.

Frequently asked questions Who can apply? Year 12 students who will not be guaranteed an Australian Tertiary Admission Rank (ATAR) but aspire to university study. Applicants must also be approved by their school and supported by their parent/guardian.

How does 12Track/TLC110 qualify me for entry to Murdoch? You will be eligible to receive an offer from Murdoch University if you: 1. Pass 12Track /TLC110 2. Receive a recommendation from your school and from 12Track /TLC110 staff 3. Achieve a scaled score of 50+ in ATAR English or a grade of ‘C’ or better in General English. 4. Achieve your WA Certificate of Education

What Murdoch University courses can I study after 12Track /TLC110? Successful 12Track students may apply for entry to any of over 80 degree courses at Murdoch University (a couple of exceptions are Law and Veterinarian Science)

How much does it cost? There are no up-front student fees for participation

12Track Classes are held weekly at Murdoch University campuses during Term 1, 2 and 3 of the school year, February to September.

Rockingham Campus Each Monday and Tuesday 4 to 6p.m.

Peel Campus Each Wednesday and Thursday 4 to 6p.m.

South Street Campus TBA

Students are responsible for their own travel arrangements to and from Murdoch University
