TOWN OF GRAND LAKE NEWSLETTER

October 2015 The Town of Grand Lake recently converted our gymnasium at the Grand Lake Center, the former

Elementary School, into a Conference Center atmosphere to provide three days of training in “the

Disney Way” provide by Bill Capodagli, author of a book by the same name. In order to do this, we

purchased ceiling decorations, banners and carpet in 3 foot by 7 foot sections for the floor covering.

We had several individual contributors who provided large contributions ($1000-2000 each), several

smaller contributors ($100-$200), and one contributor in particular that provided the balance of

payment to meet our deadline (approximately $5000). The Town is requesting your contributions

to help repay the final contributor in an effort to defray their costs. For each carpet section we are

asking for a $100 contribution. We need to collect about $4400 more dollars. Please help by

sponsoring a section or two or more. The gym will periodically be converted from its natural func-

tion for recreational purposes into an educational conference center, or a gathering place where re-

ceptions, or concerts can be held. The Town is planning an Open House to showcase the facility in

the near future. Checks are to be made to the Town of Grand Lake as we are tracking the contribu-

tions and repaying the primary contributor. Your donations are tax deductible.

We hope you have enjoyed the extended fall season and the many visitors it has attracted to Grand

Lake. The sunrises have been colorful to match the wonderful autumn colors of our aspen trees and

assorted foliage. Trail Ridge Road has been closed intermittently and is anticipated to close soon for

the season. We are still open for business overall so get out and enjoy our local restaurants and
